+Jan and the Percey Boys
So why was this posted as an "English Geocoin" when it's a personal coin?Seems just like the "San Francisco" coin. I'm sure it would have sold just as quickly if listed as a personal coin, so why the subterfuge? I suppose it could be called an english coin as it is from an english cacher Just like the majority of the coins could be called american!! But as it is non trackable and with no Icon (What did you expect for the price) It will not be confused with THE ENGLISH COIN (GC Trackable with icon) from the English Geocoin Group (you can guess the shape) which is due out soon as are, I understand, welsh, scottish and IOM coins Bob Edited January 2, 2006 by Jan and the Percey Boys Quote Link to comment
+GeoHills
Hey Alex! Would like to see an Isle of Man coin sometime soon. You won't have long to wait. : I know that there are plans for one very soon (not a gcCOINS production though) Alex. Don't forget IONA. I just loved that place. Quote Link to comment
+mtn-man
Sounds like a personal coin. I beleive this is the official UK Geocoin. http://geocoins.co.uk/ England is one constituant part of the UK. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are the other bits. I suppose that is similar to State coins within the USA, but not quite. gcCOINS will be issuing a Scotland coin in the near future. alex. Thanks Alex. I sort of knew that, but phrased what I was saying wrong I guess. It just seems like a personal coin since the run is so low and no input came from other cachers, whereas the site I linked to did have a group that designed the coin (I think). It is like the San Francisco coin alluded to earlier. AtlantaGal, that is in my backyard about four years ago I guess. It is 3 to 4 inches of snow. Quote Link to comment
