I usually don't do playground hides but this one was empty and it had cool play equipment. Purple Ducky is in the serpents mouth.

The Bobcat TB was launched by a Cub Scout Troop. We took a photo of the Bobcat with some of the animals from our collection that are commonly found in South Carolina.

This Bear TB was launched by a Boy Scout who said the Bear wanted to meet other animals. We thought he might appreciate a ride.

This was once a run-down cemetery that the city of Whittier converted into a neighborhood park. It gives you an odd feeling to know that while you are enjoying the park, you are really walking on graves. There is a dedication wall that lists all of the people buried here.

This was called Cache Jail and located in a bush on a lonely hiking trail in the Puente Hills, Ca. I took me a long time to spot it even though it was right in front of me.

John Greenleaf Whittier was a turn-of-the-century poet, philosopher and quaker. And the founder of the city of Whittier. This is part of a mural showing scenes of early Whittier.

Historic marker at junction of hwy 178 and the famous Pacific Crest Trail. Cache is in the bare-looking tree at about one-o'clock. I thought I was going to have a cardiac climbing to it.

One of the first TBs we ever found, the Great CATsby, a stuffed cat who wanted to see things with "CAT" in the name. When we found him, he was freezing and damp in a local cache, so we put a hat on him, packed his suitcase and got him a camera....

So we took him somehwere warm, the Eastern Caribbean, on a cruise ship. Here he is lounging on the Lido deck with hamburger and fries with no CATsup!

Here he is enjoying a view of CAT Island, Bahamas.

Here he is taking a CAT nap in our suite, all that eating and sightseeing tired him out!

When we returned home, we took him CATching, I know, it's a stretch! He found his first cache...

I try my best to take photos of TBs before I drop them - my gallery has lots of them! Here are a few favorites:

I just like the perspective on this one:

This TB was supposed to visit train-related caches - this spot was perfect, AND had a cache there too!:

This is one of my own TBs - took this before dropping it off on its journeys:

This TB was in a race from England to get to a specific cache in Berkeley, CA - "The Slippery Slope." I took it to that cache and got a photo of the little car ready to descend the slope!:

Any travel bugs or geocoins that I pick up get treated to at least one adrenaline-charged adventure along with anything else I'm doing.

Here's an F22 Raptor travel bug flying with me under one of my parachutes.

Another airplane travel bug, right after getting down from a 14,000 foot skydive with me at the Gold Coast Skydivers drop zone in Lumberton, Mississippi. Yeah, we jumped out of that plane right there. Then it started raining and the skydiving day was over.

I came across this travel bug that is the same car as my little track car, so they had to have their picture taken together.

You know, as fun as it is to post pictures of travel bugs, I really like to post videos of their adventures. Here are a few of the recent ones:

Exhibition jump into a C-Spire sponsored, televised local high school football game...

Alabama state skydiving record attempt and other jumps...

I arranged a private track day for me and some friends at the Talladega Gran Prix Raceway road course. Several travel bugs came along for the ride...

Visit link

A few more jumps. One of the travel bugs got to come out of the fanny pack I carry them in and get some time in front of the camera at the end of this video...

Another exhibition jump, onto a tiny little spot on a downtown street for the opening ceremony of the Mississippi State Games...

Check out my YouTube channels for more videos. Search for "GCJumper" or "GeoTBJumper".

This spring I found a travel bug that was a small painting of Mount Rainier here in Washington State. It just happened that I was working on a puzzle cache utilizing this photo of The Mountain to locate the cache.

When we arrived at ground zero the sky was overcast and our view of Mount Rainier was obscured but the travel bug filled in perfectly!
