Keystone
Sorry, but no. There are a handful of virtual caches that were submitted by people who visited the Falklands on holiday, but these were not published. I do note that Falkland Islands is one of the choices available for searching through the Advanced Search Page. Use the "By State/Country" option. Quote Link to comment

Mr. TSP
Funny, I've noticed that the Falkland Islands are missing from the basemap of my SportTrack Pro but lots of smaller islands in the South Atlantic are included! Not sure off hand if they are shown on my Mapsend software. Quote Link to comment
+OzGuff
OK, so are there any caches on the Malvinas? Quote Link to comment
+pwcorg
Only if you count landmines. Quote Link to comment
+9Key
Looks like the answer is no according to Buxley's >> http://www.brillig.com/geocaching/south_america.shtml Do sheep eat geocaches? Quote Link to comment

nobby.nobbs
no more part of argentina than canada is part of usa. just because they are on the same continental plate doesn't mean it's theirs!! plenty of penguins aparently! Quote Link to comment

+Klemmer
I've been to the Falklands, and didn't see any penguins there either. Had my GPSr, but no caches to find, and the islands not on the limited North American basemap of the Etrex Venture. Saw plenty of sheep, however, and lots of nice things made from wool!!!! Very friendly folks, also! Quote Link to comment

If you mean it might degrade into unreasoned, knee-jerk drivel, then yes--that could happen, but as long as we mention GEOCACHING now and then, we should be OK. Quote Link to comment

So, I guess that throws the UK's claim to Northern Ireland into question? without going into a real indepth discussion of that political hot potato, the english invaded ireland a long time ago and settled it. the falkland islands were never settled by argentina. (to my knowledge, though i am far from an expert) slight suspision that oil rights may have something to do with claim! i'm suprised that atleast one or two haven't ever been set up by squaddies on their tours of duty. though far fewer there now. and wandering off tracks tends to be a little dangerous in unmarked minefields! and the above would be a vacation type cache. think the locals have a few more things on their minds than caching. +jimmyreno
Last time i looked Pitcairne island has a cache and it's waiting for the FTF!!! One party logged a dnf cause the surf was too high for them to land on the beach. Go for it Quote Link to comment
Penguin Kate
There are two in the Falklands, though I didn't have opportunity to check them out in October. One is at Teal Inlet, Easy, and one is at Albermale harbour, not so easy. Tho only thing out there to nick them would be the Striated Caracaras or Joyy Rooks. Not sure if sheep would eat them! All mine fields are marked! I think they are placed by locals. KATE Quote Link to comment
+J-Way
Yes, but were they British locals or Argentinean locals? Quote Link to comment
sdarken
[looks around] Where did all that dust come from? Oh, I see. It's from this 3 year old thread that's just been uncovered. I wonder if the OP is still waiting for this news. Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
Yes, but were they British locals or Argentinean locals? They both look like vacation caches from people in the UK to me. One's never been found, the other one hasn't been found in over a year, although the 2 DNF'ers since have 3 finds total between them. But I'll bet Penquin Kate can answer the question from 2005. Are there Penguins there? Quote Link to comment

Not sure off hand if they are shown on my Mapsend software. That doesn't surprise me much. My first GPS was a Magellan. I was living in Europe at the time and decided to buy the European maps for my GPS. I wasn't too happy with them because they lacked some detail but I guess I shouldn't have expected much form a company that got it's name from a sailor. Quote Link to comment

England invaded Falkland Islands on 1833, previous to that there was an Argentinian settlement and a penal colony. Quote Link to comment
Penguin Kate
There are Hundreds of thousands of penguins there! Rockhoppers, Maccaronis, Kings, Gentoos, Magellanics and the odd stray, erect crested. Oh and half a million black browed albatrosses! Landmines placed by the Argentinians... soon to be removed under the international land mine clearance despite the fact that all the mine fields are marked and pose no danger to anyone.... even sheep may safely graze! Geocaches - Probably local placements. Kate Quote Link to comment
