Maingray
Activesync software is for PocketPCs, not Palms. Quote Link to comment
Miragee
I'm not sure which software you are trying to use, but I use Cachemate which is only $8.00 to register. It is very easy to use. Sorry I can't answer your question directly. Quote Link to comment
welch
What software are you trying to use? If its spinner/plucker have you tried following the directions at Geocacher-U? I'm not sure what ACTIVESYNC?? is, but I don't think it matters how you get the files and programs to the palm as long as you get them there. You could use the 'sync manager' or palmsquickinstall, or whatever else... Quote Link to comment

I.R. Geonut
Activesync is the PocketPc software used to connect to the PDA. Try cachemate, it's really worth the 8 bucks. There are some other proggies out there if you look on the main geocaching.com page you'll see them. Quote Link to comment
teepeeayy
Cachemate, mate. You'll agree very quickly it was worth the $8. Quote Link to comment
Klemmer
See the other thread active now also, by runnerfam. GSAK & Cachemate the way to go. Quote Link to comment
hueyflyer & copilot
Spinner/Plucker works great on my Palm. A bit complicated at first, but simple once you get he hang of it. Quote Link to comment
ThreeTrees
Without a doubt GSAK & CacheMate are the way to go. The learning curve is steep at first. I tried MobiPocket.... what a piece is junk that is. I am still very new to this but I am glad I have spent so much time before getting my GPSr to experiment with all the software, reading FAQ's etc. BTW, I use a older Palm Tungsten T Quote Link to comment

As you say, Cachemate is designed for Geocaching so is a much better choice. For a T|T the best combo is Cachemate (GSAK-loaded) which can also export into Mapopolis for quick and dirty mapping. +jlday70
Ok so Gsak and Cachemate seem to be the best rated so far. One other question, What kind of case are y'all using for your PDA? Quote Link to comment

Hynr
My wife (Teachermom) crocheted (knitted) a holder for me which attaches to my belt. We first saw LilDevil use one and his wife (Angel) designed and made his. We are also using them for GPSrs. They make you look like a total geek but we have not broken a PDA or GPS since starting to use them. (And we broke several before that). Quote Link to comment
