+Chuck B
My daughter is a teacher in Chula Vista and one of her coworkers is interested in getting into geocaching and is in the market for a GPS'r. He wants to know which Magellan Explorist, the 200 or the 210 is best. So I said I would ask on the forum since I figure someone is an expert on these. Quote Link to comment
2oldfarts (the rockhounders)
Chuck Have your friend get the 210 since it has the USB cable for downloading the waypoints. The 200 requires that each waypoint is entered by hand. Suggest to your friend to see what is available in their price range that has an SD card slot. Quicker to load maps to and holds massive amounts of maps and data. The Magellan Meridian Gold is a good choice and not to pricey. Good caching, John Quote Link to comment

+SandyEggoGuy
I have the 210 and am very happy with it. Downloading from the computer is easy. It's a good entry level GPS. Quote Link to comment

The one that is really a Garmin NAhhh Garmins are just not up to par for memory storage and file stucture. I would recomend the explorist 400 ir 210. I hear Costco had the 400 at a good price now.
