+Airmapper
Yeah, why hire some people when there are hundreds of cachers that might clean up good. (If they scrub real hard. ) I can see it now, go to cache GCXXXX and if your FTF you model the sweatshirt, STF, the T-shirt, and TTF, the ball cap. +New England n00b
How do you know they didn't? I really don't see the issue here. If they got from a specialized printing house, they model photographs may have been part of the package cost. Seems normal to me, and not at all odd or funny. Link to comment

There was nothing ‘showing’ in that image that would offend any member of the family. Given that the person in question was photographed in a public place engaged in a legal behavior, what was the problem again? Or is geocaching going to discriminate against the overweight? 4wheelin_fool
I didn't find it offensive. Its just one of those pics that after you see it, you really wish you hadn't. It's hard to erase pics such as those from your mind. This comment To me it seems both normal and funny at the same time, whereas the pic posted by Criminal is a different story...... was only meant as a joke.(see ) It actually was funny. +Airmapper
I'll admit it was pretty dang funny, but I'm not surprised it got Quiggled nor am I sad to see it gone. It may be funny but it was also pretty twisted, and I don't want to see that every time I open this thread. Plus this is a family site, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a parent who wouldn't mind their kid seeing that. There is nothing really obscene, but you gotta' admit it's just gross. There are plenty of avatars far more disturbing than that. What if some unsupervised child saw the pic of the kid in the plastic bag? They could die trying to emulate him! BTW, no explanation from Quiggster? Link to comment
+Airmapper
This site is family friendly, and all posts and posters must respect the integrity of the site. A pic of someone on a bike with their rear end hanging off doesn't exactly convey "integrity." And after further research it DOES conform to the definition of obscene. 3. Offensive or repulsive to the senses; loathsome: “The way he writes about the disease that killed her is simply obscene” (Michael Korda). +NoLemon
The image should have not been deleted. It might have been gross to some; some may have found it to be in bad taste; and yet others just found it to be funny. It was not obscene. The picture did not include violence or pornography. If we are going to start modding based upon what people find to be in bad taste, I am sure I can come up with a list of usernames, avatars and posts that meet the criteria. BTW - If you don't want to see that image when you open this thread the next time, then don't open this thread again. Link to comment
+Airmapper
What if it was a skinny person on the bike, would everyone feel the same about it being posted? I'd bet it would still be removed. Edited November 30, 2005 by Airmapper Link to comment
+sept1c_tank
GC.com has plenty of pictures (don't look at this one if you are easily offended) already published that have a similiar entertainment value. Both this forum and this website are kid/family friendly. Although the pic Crim posted could be considered disgusting by some, it did not cross the boundries that have been preset and accepted on this website. Quiggle that. Link to comment

+wimseyguy
Hear hear, and the topic is the modeling of geocaching and Groundspeak gear right? Thongs, much like spandex, should only be worn by those who can really wear it properly, and actually not draw attention to themselves. So if you can wear geothongs, or dipthongs, or spandex, and not draw unecessary attention to yourself in doing so-please post your pics! Otherwise-please stick to t-shirts and sweatpants. +The Leprechauns
I have been modeling my Geocaching.com green hat in basically every photo of me that's ever been posted to a cache gallery. Yet, I've not seen a dime in modeling fees! Recently I had the rather challenging task of delivering a geo-eulogy at the funeral of a well-known geocacher. After the service, several people came up to me and said "that's the first time we've ever seen you without your hat on!" So I put it back on. Link to comment
