+kewfriend Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 This prompted by harrogate hunters having found my TB BuryMe after it had gone missing. I have just been out to my South Stainley Cache where your Bury Me TB is situated and found it lying on the ground 100 feet away from the cache. I have it today in my hands, however the TB tag has been ripped off. There was a speight of TB vandalisation in Harrogate Area in July and 10 went missing. I also want to thank Brambler for helping get this little diffifulty back on the road again after it had been muggled. Without laughalot's help this crazy cache would have remained forever lost. PLEASE ADD your thanks to anyone who has helped you over the last 12 months - and add a little pre-Xmas cheer to their lives. Quote
+Dorsetgal & GeoDog Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Nice idea Kewfriend, in my case, the list is loooooong! Anticipating that I will often need help of one kind or another, I organised this page, which has been well appreciated by those invited to log Quote
+Haggis Hunter Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I don't know where to start, for there has been so many people that have helped me with one thing or the other. I think the most important ones have to be, a whole thread getting and pictures getting deleted, just so that one of my caches couldn't be done without visiting it. Being given a lift several times. Getting free admission into a theme park, yes this was by a geocaching friend. And last but not leats the loads of help I have had with TB's needing looked after with one thing or another. So thanks to everybody who has helped me with one thing or the other, you know who you are? Quote
+Birdman-of-liskatraz Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Well I guess its Thanks to all those who set caches - without whom this would be a completely pointless sport! And to everyone who has done one of my caches and written a descriptive log - Thank you. Quote
+The Blorenges Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Thank you to those friendly, almost-permanent members of the Chatroom...who explained to me how to get in, then gave me instructions how to get in through the other door (Mirc), showed me where the key was hidden (under the rubber plant, of course), accepted the appearance of my cat and her strange ways and errr, ummmm ... generally keep their clothes on. You know who you are Mrs B Quote
+Firth of Forth Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 The people I need to thank are almost too numerous to mention: Organisers of all of the great events that I've attended this year in Scotland, England, N Ireland and Eire; All of the wonderful cachers who I've gone caching with and had fantastic days; My teenagers for putting up with my geocaching obsession; And Jack Aubrey for searching me out and making my life complete. +Bud Lightbeer Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Thanks to the BT engineer who suggested we may like to try geo-caching! We've had a fantastic time so far and it has taken us to so many places we would otherwise have missed. We have also met some great characters on the way, something we am particularly grateful for. Here's to many more happy years of caching. Regards to all, Bud and Nettie. Quote

markandlynn Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Our moderators / approvers in the last year i have emailed them a few times about issues with caches and each time they have sorted these out with no problems and with no need for resorting to posts in the forums. Many thanks to ARRKS for thier help on painting by numbers, snerdbe for his help on cache for a laugh when a clue had gone missing, Haggis hunter for the excellent water of leith bookmark list. No thanks go to the people who nicked two of our caches this year And big appologies to the people who tried to do our sudoku cache and found slightly excessive vegetation (its died down again now folks) and ended up finding it fully covered from head to foot in the middle of a heatwave And finally thanks to everyone who visits our website and suggest changes and improvements Quote

+Kryten Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Thanks to a couple of unknown cachers who while visiting Cullaloe Wildlife Reserve on New Years Day, met and described caching to a colleague of mine, who was out birdwatching. As he later regailed me with his tale of "people even nuttier than himself", the addiction took hold. Quote
