+junglehair
Oh man - I just added up my PapPal receipts for coins that I've ordered since I started collecting back in September (only 3 months now). It was just over $1,000! That's more than I paid in car payments during that time! Quote Link to comment
+graylling
Guess I have some catching up to do. I'm only up to $830... Quote Link to comment
+Dreamin'Eagle
I'm currently just under or just over $400 in about two weeks so I'm catching up quick. Quote Link to comment
+HerrK & Friends
This Is An Expensive Hobby!, $1,000 in 3 months This is true... GeoCoining is really an expensive hobby! Quote Link to comment
+Katydid & Miles Stone
I agree. I thought it would be less to just collect a certain type of coin, so I started buying state coins only. Even then, it's expensive. I'm actually rethinking the whole thing. Quote Link to comment

Even then, it's expensive. I'm actually rethinking the whole thing. That's the sad part - I do only collect the State coins. Well ok, State, Province, Regional, Country and the odd really cool personal coin. Oh, and of course, the GAA coin (Geocoin Addicts Anonymous). Quote Link to comment
+Ladycacher
I have over three hundred coins on hand and many more I have paid for that are not here yet. I figure on average at 6 bucks a coin I have spent 2100.00 and thats not including shipping AND most coins are more than 6.00 a piece. It is a expensive Hobby, but god I love it. SCP-173
Oh man - I just added up my PapPal receipts for coins that I've ordered since I started collecting back in September (only 3 months now). It was just over $1,000! That's more than I paid in car payments during that time! That's why I don't collect state coins. They cost too much and really don't have much meaning to me. +GrandpaKim
I started this addiction on March 18th when I ordered the Utah geocoins. Since then, I've spent $3,419.55. Of course, this includes my own personal geocoin and I should be able to trade it for other coins in the future, but that's still a lot of money. Quote Link to comment
+AtlantaGal
I don't want to know what I've spent, lol. I do know that aside from the expense of my personal coin versions ($1800ish), I'm only about $130 in the hole at the moment for everything else. Quote Link to comment
+Prairiepartners
I really do not want to know either, the same as I do not want to know what we've spent on geocaching. But we are having a BLAST and thats what most important!! cache on, trade on, have fun!! Quote Link to comment
H to the Bizzle!
Yep, these coins are costly.. but addictive! Quote Link to comment

Three of my favorite coins aren't trackable and I think they are awesome. Lemon Fresh Dog Geobone (silver) - 149 minted in this metal Joefrog - 150 minted Prairiepartners (Antique Silver) - 75 minted in this metal They may not be trackable but they rock! +AtlantaGal
Amending my prior post here... now $250 in the hole. Quote Link to comment
+maggieszoo
I have no idea how much I've spent. Don't want to know. I've had to cut back and now only buy an occasional coin that I really like, plus I'm in 3 clubs, so I do trade some. I'm currently working on a personal coin through the Caching Place, so I'll have more to trade and leave in caches. That and maybe I can get a Moun10Bike this way! I think I'm up to around 60 or so keepers plus another 25 or so to trade. Wooden nickels and poker chips are another matter altogether! I can afford lots of those!! Quote Link to comment
