+Kilted Cacher
I am looking at setting up a webpage where you can enter the tracking code and an email address and the activation code would be sent to you. This would be just like the system that geocoinclub uses or oakcoins. Any help would be appreciated. This will save me tons of time and will allow me to get the Christmas Coins out much faster when they show up tomorrow. Quote Link to comment

I'd better get cracking on it! Are you looking for someone to give you php/MySQL code, or are you looking for someone to actually host the activation page? --Marky Edited November 24, 2005 by Marky Quote Link to comment

I will be doing the same thing for another group soon. If anyone has the PHP/mySQL code and are willing to share, I'd appreciate getting a copy. It would save me reinventing the same wheel. --SirGerald Quote Link to comment
+Cach-U-Nuts
This service is available at The Caching Place. Instead of using email the code is given to you instantly when you hit the submit button. Quote Link to comment
+pghlooking
For the PA coins we used the coin club's website. It was a free service with them and so far has been pain free. They work to resolve and issues first if there is a problem with activation. Edited November 25, 2005 by pghlooking Quote Link to comment

+Kilted Cacher
Is there a reason activation numbers aren't sent with the coins when shipped to the buyer? Trying to sort through 500 coins to put the right sticker on the right coin. Very time consuming, I just want to put them in the mail to the buyers so they can get them more quickly. +Right Wing Wacko
But isn't the point of activation codes to insure that the person entering it actually has the coin? Whats to prevent anyone from just entering coin numbers at random and climing them as their own? Quote Link to comment

+9Key
The Geocoin Club offers this service for free. www.geocoinclub.com/code.php I put stickers on the mailing envelopes that alert the buyers on how to activate their coins. Quote Link to comment

I see on their site that they offer it as a service. I don't see it mentioned that it is free. I've also seen it mentioned in the forums that thecachingplace offers this as a free service, but don't see it mentioned on their site that it is free. It only states "where the owner has arranged with us for this service". --Marky Edited November 26, 2005 by Marky Quote Link to comment

I got two 9Key coins - I didn't have any sticker about how to activate them. Or are you speaking of other coins? Quote Link to comment
