+edscott
Just got a messge as the owner of a cache that someone, 7 months ago, visited a nearby cache, and today logged a geocoin into mine backdated 7 months for "Mileage". Never visited my cache... (it is a four part multi that takes about three hours).... just posted the note about the coin. Can someone explain the purpose of this maneuver? Is this a normal entry? +Moose Mob
Are you talking about the one that said "earthcaches don't take travel bugs"? If so, then it sounds like a personal coin and they're trying to keep up with the miles. Link to comment

+pdxmarathonman
Just a wild guess based on the first two posts - If the cache in question wasn't found by the coin owner, then maybe they're using a nearby cache to compensate for earthcaches not accepting TBs. This would allow the cacher to keep track of their own caching-miles. Link to comment

Guess it is not a big issue for anyone else so I'll close the thread Link to comment
