deadhorsepoint Posted November 19, 2005 Share Posted November 19, 2005 Remember me, the creator of the flawed masterpiece "Ramapo Riparian" cache, occasional troublemaker, gentlemen, and scholar? Actually, Riparian was archived due to a mistake on my behalf regarding private land. Such technicalities... but one brave soul did complete it before the Authorities got me. My other creations, Ramapo Torne, Pingyp, and Maltby Hollow have challenged trekkers for generations! The Maltby cache alone has seen many attempts from the basecamp settlement, only to have most expedition parties denied the prize -- due to horrific weather, avalanches, and hypoxia. Pingyp, the first DHP odyssey, has its technical crux at the PIP crossing. The highly exposed rock scramble is comparitively tame. And the Torne... yes, the dizzying view of the greater Metropolitan area from the rock outcrop under which George Washington's Rolex still ticks.
