+briansnat
Its about a buck a sheet and its called National Geographic Adventure Paper. It's not really paper, but made out of Teslin. A kind of a plastic. Its great stuff and worth it. I use it for logs where I know the cache will get wet. You can get 3-4 micro logs out of a sheet so its not all that expensive in the end and a lot easier than replacing wet log books. Quote Link to comment
+Pablo Mac
I've been using Rite-in-the-Rain paper for various purposes for at least 10 years and it's great stuff. Quote Link to comment
The Psion
The Boy Scouts produced a small spiral notebook (about 3 x 5 in size) a couple years ago that was waterproof. It was a venturing product and had that logo on it, but it could be useful! Quote Link to comment
+Coffea robusta
Rite-in-the-rain is good stuff. Many of the people I know in outdoorsy professions use them (myself included). The sell many prebound notebooks of various sizes, three-ring binder paper, as well as bulk paper for a laser printer or copier. I've never used the national geographic paper but I just noticed that they say it can be used with an inkjet printer. Might be worth a try. Don't know about the other stuff. I think all these types of paper are "cloth" paper that have been soaked in some kind of waterproofing. Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
Rite-in-the-rain just announced a new paper for inkjets - about the same cost as NG Adventure paper. I've used both r-i-t-r & NG products and had good results with both. Quote Link to comment
+Team Tired Boy
Rite in the Rain is great stuff. Pencil works well on it, and water just beads up on it. The National Geographic paper is also great. I've tested it by printing on my inkjet; writing on it with pen, Sharpie, and pencil; then holding it under running water. Nothing runs. The one problem with the NG paper is that it's difficult to write on with pencil. If you use it for a log, you should either include a pen in the cache or advise people to bring a pen of their own. +TotemLake
I currently use the NG paper for my Welcome/Intro sheet. It's great stuff! Quote Link to comment
