+Tocsik
I've been looking at all the ways to order custom geocoins and some concerns have ben gathering in my mind regarding the trackablity of said coins. Also I've found several sites that show how to make your own geocoins. My question then is what is the process by which geocoins manufactured by places other than Groundspeak are made compatable with the tracking feature? Quote Link to comment
+junglehair
If you want to have your coins tracked at Groundspeak, you need to contact them to have the tracking numbers issued. For personal coins, there is a 500 coin minimum requirement. They will issue a series of alpha-numeric numbers with their activation codes to you. You then pass those numbers along to the mint to have engraved or stamped on your coins. The cost of the tracking numbers is $1.50 per coin and all personal coins are assigned the personal coin icon. Hope that answers your question. Quote Link to comment

+pdxmarathonman
Thanks it sure did. Groundspeak doesn't make the coins. There is a list pinned at the top of these forums listing the coinmakers and the experiences people have had with them. http://www.coinsandpins.com is a one-stop shopping place and can deal with the tracking numbers in smaller quantities than 500 Edited November 17, 2005 by pdxmarathonman Quote Link to comment
