This had slipped down to the third page, so I thought I would bump it back up.

Despite not getting a lot of attention on here, this event is looking to be yet again another popular one. The main thread for the event, which is on the GeoX forum, can be viewed here.

I am risking the weather and making a weekend of it. If you are staying around the centre and fancy some joint exploring then let me know.

Take a look at my profile, there is a list of bookmarks for Edinburgh, you may find them usefull.

Big Wolf and I have located places for the event caches to be hidden.

How many caches will there be on the day?

Can you do another Bookmarks cache list for the existing ones nearby please?

Posted

All caches within 5000m of the event have now been added to a bookmark list.

The names of the 4 caches placed for the event are: - Lions Den, The Muttonhole, Ancient Almond Moorings and Way up high

See the event cache page for more details.

I have just added up all those who said they would or may come to the event and have listed them below. It looks like there should be about 50 people in total but could you have a check and get in touch with me if either your name is not on the list, you are not going to be able to make it or if the number of people coming in your party has changed.

Thanks

Thanks to those who have emailed with thier updates. Looks like it is going to be the biggest gathering at a SGDO yet.

I hope the pub can cater for so many? Last year we were devided, only by some steps, because we got about 20 more people than expected.

It was still a good day though, as I am sure this will be?

Less than a week to go until the event, there are going to be in excess of 50 people coming to the event, and as already said, 4 easy caches will be placed, with plenty more nearby.

If you haven't got your name down yet, or haven't got plans for next Saturday then get yourself to Edinburgh, has it been mentioned yet that there will be a quiz and raffle as well?

Only a few days to go and it looks like there will be about 60 of us at the event. Name badges have now been printed to drop me a line if you have not already done so.

51 travel bugs and coins now.

Plus the offer further down this page from yob kulcha of him buying doubles for all of us if he forgets his travel bug.

Do what now ? ... eh...hing oan jist a wee minute here..I...

Just updated the event page to add in links to the four new caches being placed for the event. Also the number of TB's in the cache has now risen to 58!

See you all tomorow.

The assault on the central belt has already begun. Billy Twigger and Wildlifewriter cut a swathe through Fife today. All others are packed and ready to set out in the morning. 64 cachers looking for 4 new caches. Could be interesting! <_<

This was a great day, and £80 collected through the raffle for cancer research is bloody good, well done everyone.

Can everyone who took pictures during the whole of the SGDO today, send them onto me, I will compile them all together and send them to Bill and Angela, as he had asked me to do this.

With BT's news about the hospice it would be good to get them sent sooner rather than later.

Thank you in advance

HH
