+GeoHills
I know I saw this topic in one of the threads, but I can't find it. Soooo, I have ordered 2 copies of coins. One to keep and one to travel from cache to cache. Unfortunately, I have had some TB's and coins disappear. I would like to keep possession of the traveling coin, but don't know how to word it in the Mission and Description section of the TB details. Also, what would you call it? Simulated geocoin? Virtual geocoin? Thank you. Quote Link to comment
+TeamMaddog
You don't have to call it anything. I put to stay in my hands and log miles. Check out profile of coins. teammaddog. Quote Link to comment
+Bambi&Thumper
Unfortunately, these beautiful coins are just too collectable! We've been doing this too however, and what we do is bash a hole in the coins (to try to reduce the collectable/ebay value) then attach a laminated mission label using a key ring loop soldered shut (to stop the coin "falling off"). It's not foolproof but we think it improves the travelling chances a little... Not got that many out there yet, but we'll let you know if its a real success... Bambi Quote Link to comment

I think the description of "virtual" or "simulated" or just about any other appropriate adjective would work just fine. Quote Link to comment
