Dupiedoo Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 I'm sure your wondering how the October contest photo, FROGS being T-O-A-D, was done. Well, it wasn't easy. Here are some of the earlier takes that were not chosen for the contest. Chickened-Out on 1st Attempt Tried both frogs on the parasail. Didn't work! First bad crash! Don't worry, I'm OK! Ill just set the jeep TB up for another run! Oh No! Crashed again! And again and again!! Some days are Tough!! Then Success at Last! I hope you enjoyed this. Team Dupiedoo. Quote
+Sagefox Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 This is hilarious! Thanks for posting. Quote
Dupiedoo Posted November 13, 2005 Author Posted November 13, 2005 Thanks, As you can see, we had alot of fun with this. We did all kinds of funny picture stuff with this frog. He's quite the character. I love making my daughters laugh. They were real happy we could share some of it with all of you. Team Dupiedoo Quote
Dupiedoo Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 (edited) I hope everyone that entered the Jeep contest had as much fun as I did. It was great finding the geocaches, joining with the family to come up with ideas for photos and of course just getting downright silly. The voting part of the contest is just about up. I wish the best of luck to all of you! Team Dupiedoo Edited November 14, 2005 by Dupiedoo Quote
+AuntieWeasel Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 That is hilarious. I must say, though, I saw the first image and thought, "uh oh...where is this going?" Quote
Dupiedoo Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 That is hilarious. I must say, though, I saw the first image and thought, "uh oh...where is this going?" That was kind of the idea. The big frog is so flexible and takes on so many expressions you can't help but laugh when handling it. The kids were kind of sad when we were taking down the set-up. Thats when the goofin around and the idea for more pictures happened. They were even more happy when we figured out how to post it all. Unfortunately they want to do more. Thanks for looking! Quote
Dupiedoo Posted November 15, 2005 Author Posted November 15, 2005 My daughter (6) wants to know if we can make the frog into a travel bug itself, with a mission to get it's picture on a real parasail somewhere. How do you do this? Autumn Team Dupiedoo Quote
+GeoBlank Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 I noticed the fishing line in this picture. I did not actually look close on the WJTB entry. Very great story line you have there. You can get a TB tag from http://shop.Groundspeak.com and then launch the toad. Have fun! Quote

It was crazy trying to get all those fishing lines in place. It was much more fun doing the follow-up photos in this post. Quote
Dupiedoo Posted November 21, 2005 Author Posted November 21, 2005 "It's a beautiful day! Whataya say we do some geocaching!" "O.K" "Hey! I'm going to look over here." "Do you have the GPS?" "What does the map say?" "Yeah Yeah I have the GPS (Good Piece of Straw)." "The map says look out for the big cliff!" "Gee Thanks for telling me!" "HELP!" "Why do these latches always have to be so tight?" "Oooo I got it open!" "That Smarts!" "Hey, Just look at all this junk in here!" "Yeah, Cool!" "Hey, What in the world do you think this is?" +Car54 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 So, do these frogs have names? Are they maybe some distant relations of Signal's? I think it'd be cool to pin a topic with their pictorial adventures so we can all keep up with the latest. Those are some mighty creative pictures! Love 'em! Mrs. Car54 Quote

+Eartha Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I'm merging these two TOAD threads, same topic. Let's keep the rfurther adventures to one thread, shall we? It'll take forever for dial ups to upload the pics, so when replying using the quote feature, please try not to include a second copy of the picture and a third, fourth, fifth and so on. You can edit out the photo link in the quote. Thanks! Quote
+Orpheus Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 The gallery of winners has been updated. Congratulations Dupiedoo on your new GPS. Quote
+TeamZebra Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Very creative pictures. It must have taken a lot of patience to get all those fishing lines in place for the contest photo! Looking forward to more adventures of Frog & Toad. Quote

Mrs. Car54 The names of the frogs that we use around the house is Dupie (The big fat frog) and Dooie (The shinny one). Thankyou so much for all your kind comments. My daughters are very excited about winning the GPS, However, I think they are more excited about posting the next adventure. Any other ideas or comments are welcome. As a note, this Jeep contest exposed me to your sport. (I saw the ad in a biking magazine). and we just love it. It is a great family activity that combines adventure and fun. We still have some learning to do but we're getting there. Thanks Again, Mark, Chris, Mandalynn and Autumn Team Dupiedoo Quote
