Like say we are going to squamish and i dont know the postal code , is there a way to find the co-ordinates ?

say i am going to the richmond dyke but dont have a postal code , i type in dyke but dont get many , how else can i look for them

If you go to TopoZone.com or another mapping program, you can get the coordinates from their map. You can search for a city on TopoZone and then where your cursor is on the map, it will display the coordinates.

To go from city to zipcode, use city-to-zip. Then you can use the zip code to search.

 

To look up features, use the GNIS.

Something you didn't tell most of the folks here is that you are talking Postal Code not Zip Code, and since Squamish is about 40 minutes North of Vancouver BC, and Richmond is a suburb of Vancouver also, then you are trying to ask us how to look for Canadian Survey Markers on the Geocaching site.

 

I am sorry, but there are no Databases loaded for this game, other than the one which has been provided by the National Geodetic Survey, which is a US Government agency.

 

The other posters to this thread are correct however, as long as you are hunting in the US.
