se6git Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 SvDs report on damage done to histirical sites is important but we should expand the concern to sites of natural beauty as well. Certain caches, by virtue of their unfortunate placement, can lead to degredation of the site at which they are placed. Some ecosystems are very fragile and can take years to develop and don't take kindly to being disturbed by dozens of eager cachers hunting for plastic boxes. I am a geocacher myself and realise the vulnerable position we are in. We are an identifiable group who could easily be made scapegoats. Lets make sure that doesn't happen. Quote
+hedberg Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 There are severable different discussions going on at the local Swedish forum about this matter. Quote
