P38manCdn
ATTENTION -- This is an "early warning notice" to an event in February 2006. The venue for the 2006 event has been changed (from past years) to a new location, so watch for the publishing of the official Cache Page in December 2005 -- you'll know it when you see it. If you think last year's event was (use descriptive terms here...) different, unusual, thrilling, exciting, erotic, breathing-taking, heart-stopping, funny, embarassing... leaving you just plain breathless -- panting for more... then you'll love the event in 2006 -- can you say improved, enhanced, value-added, further endowed, augmented. This event involves teams of two -- usually couples -- with or without children in attendance -- children are welcome -- but please remember, this is a full day event. (Please note -- for safety while driving to the caches... one person drives and the other navigates. People can get together ("partner-up") via notices here if you don't have a regular Geocaching partner.) Be sure to bring: 1) a full tank of gas. 2) spare set of car keys -- and don't lock them in your car! 3) clip-board; 4) large note pad; 5) two pens and/or pencils (incase one fails); 6) your trusty -- ? -- (use descriptive term here...) !*#@%&! GPS unit; 7) a partner in "crime" -- or some other "descriptive term....." 8) snacks, drinks, and other nourishing refreshments. 9) a sense of humour and adventure -- ok..... for some -- a kinky state of mind. (and we know who those people are (wink-grin). Why all the secrecy? -- if you hadn't noticed, secrecy is a big part of Geocaching. Besides, it keeps you out of trouble by checking Geocaching.com I think that covers the preliminary information...... more to come with the official notice in December. Can you spell..... a-n-t-i-c-p-a-t-i-o-n.....? Happy Caching everyone, P38manCdn Quote Link to comment
+northernpenguin
So, I take it from your profile stats, this is an Ontario event somewhere around the GTA? Quote Link to comment
+Olar
Ah-ha! Would it be the annual of this series? Quote Link to comment
+dogbreathcanada
Can you spell..... a-n-t-i-c-p-a-t-i-o-n.....? Yes. a-n-t-i-c-i-p-a-t-i-o-n. Quote Link to comment
+TrimblesTrek
Ah-ha! Would it be the annual of this series? Judging by the description: different, unusual, thrilling, exciting, erotic, breathing-taking, heart-stopping, funny, embarassing... leaving you just plain breathless -- panting for more ...I'd guess that you're right. Kitchener area as usual most likely, unless P38ManCdn has moved! And, as usual, I'm up for my annual threesome, if my partners are willing! -TT- Quote Link to comment
+Amazon Annie
And, as usual, I'm up for my annual threesome, if my partners are willing! I'll have the Geomobile gassed and ready for the Larry's. Can't speak for the other one that I spent the weekend with. I guess we'll just have to wait for the grumbles to come through (if he's still talking to me after some of the stunts I put him through ... or was it BQ?) Missed ya TT! Quote Link to comment
+Apples 2 Apples
We have yet to participate in an event, sounds like this could be a fun one to "cut our teeth on". Let us know when you have the cache page up! Quote Link to comment
P38manCdn
In answer to your question -- northernpenguin -- it will be somehere in southern Ontario. After holding this event in the Kitchener area for three years, people know all the good hiding spots, so I'm moving it to a new location and see how it works out. Quote Link to comment
P38manCdn
ATTENTION ---- IMPORTANT UPDATE OK folks, I have spent some time in the event area conducting some research for our February event. I have obtained information on some places to dine for lunch and dinner. Would you please let me know which you prefer..... 1 -- a semi-formal fine dining room. (i.e. hotel, golf club, winery) 2 -- an average family dining restaurant. (i.e. Swiss Chalet, Montana) 3 -- a pub style restaurant. (i.e. Kelsey's, Eastside Marrio's) 4 -- a fast food place (i.e. Harvey's, MacDonalds, Pizza Hut) Remember #4 won't have "the good stuff to drink." (i.e. Swiss Chalet, Montana) P-38manCdn Well, let's see know. It IS the Valentine's Day event right? I know I'd rather #1 for Valentine's Day. Mind you I don't know about caching in that type of clothing.... So #1 or #2 for me (and Kitten on the Hunt). Quote Link to comment

I'd love to spend a nice quiet romantic dinner of fine dining with my caching partners! But we'll be dirty, sweaty, and tired. Or at least Annie and Flick will be. I'll opt for the pub grub. -TT- Quote Link to comment
+Amazon Annie
(P38manCdn @ Nov 10 2005, 12:15 PM) 1 -- a semi-formal fine dining room. (i.e. hotel, golf club, winery) 2 -- an average family dining restaurant. (i.e. Swiss Chalet, Montana) 3 -- a pub style restaurant. (i.e. Kelsey's, Eastside Marrio's) 4 -- a fast food place (i.e. Harvey's, MacDonalds, Pizza Hut) I have to side with TrimblesTrek (I do that often!). After a muddy, yucky day of caching - this will be February after all - I would imagine we'd probably be refused admission to any formal dining establishment (as happened to us last the weekend). Despite our tons of $$ they didn't want us in their fine dining room. Go figure. It was probably that look on Flick's face when he saw the linen tablecloths that scared them away. Can't say I blame 'em. Give me a pub with Guinness and good friends and I'm happy (well good food helps too somewhat). Hopefully the waitstaff will be better prepared for an influx of people. P38manCdn
ATTENTION -- ANOTHER UPDATE After three trips to the new area for the event, most research has been completed: -- the event will be very different this time; (and... I already have an idea for the 2007 event) -- the agenda and most instructions for event have been compiled; -- the morning gathering place for instructions is selected; -- the noon gathering place for further instructions is selected; -- two gathering places have been selected for dinner; -- final selection will take place shortly or at the morning or noon gathering; Happy caching P38manCdn Edited November 21, 2005 by P38manCdn Quote Link to comment

+northernpenguin
Yes this is somewhat disappointing. Feb 14 is a couple weeks away .... Just checked the gc.com event calendar -- nothing listed in Ontario on any weekend in February. Be nice to cache-tech ! Don't post this one the day before eh! Quote Link to comment
+Ice Dragon
Have there been anymore news? Just found out hubby and I will be in Ontario for the 14th and would love to take part in this event, but we are not going to have computer access the week before it while we are travelling. +The Blue Quasar
It seems the Event has been listed. But it's in Niagara Falls.... I think... okay... I know the coordinates are in Niagara Falls, but the page description doesn't actually say that... Interesting.
