Geocachers In Turkey?

Just wondering if there are any active, regular geocachers in Turkey? We get a lot of geocaching tourists who come through, but are there any regulars out there? If so, let's do a roll cal! I'll start:

We discovered geocaching when we were living in Maryland, U.S.A. about 4 years ago. Since then I have been watching caches in Turkey, but never had a chance to seek one.

 

I live in Izmir and I plan to hide some caches in this area.

I am from Poland, but from time to time I visit Gaziantep. Unfortunately, I had no chance to look for geocache in Turkey yet.

hi Darsantre! hello All! i'm a geocacher in Turkey but i haven't been geocaching here yet :-( i've got to get some friends together and find the caches in Istanbul!

We're a pair of Canadian geocachers who will be based in Izmir for the next 6 months or so. We'll be keeping an eye open for any caches in areas we visit.

I loved Izmir and am planning a 30th year return. Am loooking for caches in the Izmir area, as well as mapping software for a Garmin. Any help would be appreciate

In 1 month we will arrive in Turkey. I have pre shipped about 5 medium size ammo cans, and a 1 prefilled cache container (a bit smaller than the medium size). Once we get settled there, i will work on placing them in the countryside. If you have good ideas for locations near Adana, let me know. Currently there is only 1 within a 50 mile radius of the city.

Have arrived and set up household here in Turkey. Would welcome any thoughts/emails/interesting facts that would help me post some local geocaches in the area. Local location is n37.00.119 e35.26.565. will be moving approx 1-2 km in a few days.

I am in Istanbul right now but it is very temporary. I plan to get at least one cache this wednesday.

I'm looking for geochers in Aegean Turkey that can take care of 2 caches that I have placed in the Datca Peninsula, just west of Marmaris.

 

The cache reviewers refused to publish those 2 caches because I'm not neither a local geocacher nor I can garantee a timely visit to the locations for regular maintenance.

 

This prevent 2 caches that are already placed to go active.

 

So if anyone locally or regular tourinst can garantee the maintence pls let me know as I have to forward his/her nome to the reviews to get the caches activated.
