Team USA
Greetings, I trying to learn as much as I can about GPS devices before I buy. Now someone just gave me a Magellan Blazer12. I have not tried it on a Cache just let but want to know who members think of this unit. Pros or Cons? Eric Quote Link to comment
+JohnnyVegas
I have not seen a blazer 12 for a long time but form what I remember of them it is one of the early 12 channel units an it will be fine to get you started. Try it out for a while, mark a waypoint with it and then walk away from that spot an have the GPS take you back to the location a few times to get an idea of how accurate it is. Most of the time it should get within 20 feet. Quote Link to comment
+Team ARK-ville
I found my first 50-60 caches using the Magellan Blazer 12. It is a good unit and you should have no problems. The only drawback is that you can not enter more than 6 digits for the coordinates. For instance if you wanted to enter 42 05.090, you would only beable to enter 42 05.09. This will only put you off by a few feet so should be no problem. Give it a try and and good luck. Quote Link to comment
