Posted October 27, 2005 Share Posted October 27, 2005 When the category creation process has been completed and new categories are formally accepted, I would like to propose a new Subcategory “World Trade 911 Victims Memorials” which would be placed under the People/Memorials Category. In the area I live outside of St. Louis, MO, there are three 911 memorials within 10 miles of my house. Many of the memorials were constructed using actual World Trade building wreckage. Another amazing 911 memorial we visited is in Panama City Beach, FL overlooking the ocean. Viewing and touching these powerful memorials makes us proud to be Americans. The memorials remind us of the extreme sadness and awareness of needless loss of life. Never in my life have I witnessed such a monumental event on US soil, which still bring deep emotions to me, and are shared by the entire nation when we watched on live TV as the World Trade Center buildings crashed to the ground. The images of this day will to be etched in our minds forever. Link to comment
