Notification Feature: All Please

event is a multi-check box but for cache type it is a drop down. Can ALL be added to the list?

 

I don't want to create a notification for each type. Am I alone here

I thought it was odd to have to set up one for each type of cache. Instead of ALL it might be better to have check boxes to pick which types to include.

But the log types are different for an event (attended, will attend, etc.) as opposed to a cache (found it, didn't find it), and the notifications are triggered by log type. So, as discussed when insta-notify was launched, that is why the system is customizable so that you get notifications only for the cache types and log types you want.

 

I suppose that "All logs for this type of cache" could be an option?

I would assume that the most popular request is to be able to have only one notify list for all "published" logs for all cache types withing thier 50 mile radius?

There could be others, but I would believe this as the most popular.

Thats all fine and dandy, but I just went and checked the Insta-notify creation page and all cache types bring up the same set of check boxes (though oddly ordered differently). So either there is a bug in the system or they decided not to include ALL the different log types in the notify service. As it sits now, I see no reason why choosing multiple caches types AND multiple log types in one notification wouldn't work.

[ ] Unarchive

[ ]Publish Listing

[ ] Retract Listing

[ ] Enable Listing

[ ] Temporarily Disable Listing
