+Lost Womyn
Howdy all. I've not posted on the forum before, but have a question I'm hoping is okay to ask here. We have three kidlets that we want to take geocaching. We're thinking kayaking on Lake Natomas would be a fun combined activity. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any caches there that would be Kayak accessible. I'm not really wanting to go swimming, so maybe on the shores of the water would be best. Thanks in advance. +sept1c_tank
This question would probably best be addressed in the West and Southwest forum. I'm sure one of the mods will move it there for you. Quote Link to comment
+JohnnyVegas
As I recall there were some caches that required a boat to find but I just did a search and nothing came up on the lake. There are a lot around the lake and I know two that are very close to the shore, As I racall they are called Water front property 1 and 2, but I may be mistaken. mikeh420
There are a few close to the south shore of the lake. I found a few of them when I lived in the area in 2002. Also, check out the local cachers web site, http://www.rcgds.net/index.php lots of nice people in the Sac area. I found my first 55 caches there. Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
There is the boat-required Islands in the Stream that you can kayak to through a tunnel off Lake Natomas. In the same general area is Ode to Opollo but you would want to pre-find the first stage before getting in the kayak Quote Link to comment
