Elias Posted October 11, 2005 Share Posted October 11, 2005 Sometime between 3 AM and 4 AM PDT (GMT -7), our new email server fried (literally). Any queued emails on the server at the time of the failure have been lost. All mail after the failure queued up on our backup server and are now being delivered. The backup server is a much slower machine so it will take several hours for it to deliver the backlogged email. Elias Link to comment
Elias Posted October 11, 2005 Author Share Posted October 11, 2005 Based on the current rate of delivery, it appears that it'll take another 2 hours for the backlog of email to clear up. I'll post another note when it catches up. HP is supposed to be on site tomorrow to replace the server. It appears that all the data on the hard drives is intact, so it won't take much to bring the replacement server online. Elias Link to comment
