Want To Be Interviewed?

Greetings, everyone!

I am a freelance writer doing a story on geocaching for Highways Magazine, one of the largest RV-themed magazines in the country. I seek all geocachers -- especially those playing the games in RVs -- to let themselves be interviewed for my story. If you're interested, please respond to my e-mail address: leeerikaelise@earthlink.net. Include contact information, either by e-mail or telephone. Also put something in the subject line about you responding to my interview request. I have spamblocker up and will delete your message without such info. DO NOT LEAVE INFO ON THIS STRING! I very likely won't get it as fast. My deadline is Nov. 5, so I look forward to hearing from you.

Also, if you're in Los Angeles and want to let me tag along on a cache, by all means, include that in your response.

Here is a great chance to spread the word about geocaching. I hope you will take advantage. Thank you. I look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible.

Please take the time to attend an event BEFORE you put pen to paper. Geocaching is MORE about the PEOPLE who hid those little boxes in the woods than about the boxes themselves. Trust me on this.

There are currently NINE events posted, in California, before your 11/5 deadline.

Also, if you use the site to poke around, you'll find quite a few users with RV in their handles. I don't know if I have this right, but RV Vagabonds come to mind. I believe Camping Hoosiers mention that thay travel by RV.

DO NOT LEAVE INFO ON THIS STRING!

Please make sure to e-mail this guy directly.

I did. I sent some info on cachin' the PCH to use as an angle too.

Oh forget it. Lee, If ya want help maybe you shouldn't ask folks to jump through hoops to do it.

I apologize for this automatic reply to your email.

Look in my profile for my Eastern Sierra hides:

A Claustrophobic's Nightmare or Just say, "No" to Crack has some great

logs and an awesome picture gallery.

Fortress of Solitude is pretty good too.

I live in Texas, but my hides in the Eastern Sierra are my favorites. I

have geocaching family in Mammoth and I still consider it home.

Sounds of the Bay in S.F. is about my favorite cache in California, although caching along the PCH (RV caching angle) is spectacular. Look at the picture gallery for San Simeon Seal Spot. Really, most of the cache galleries along the PCH are awesome.

Geocachers will prove to be one of the most unique subsets of humanity you

will ever come across. Don't pass on the events.

Good Luck and enjoy the fun assignment,

I just received the March 2006 issue of "Highways" from the Good Sam club, and the article was in it. It is short (only 2 pages) but read pretty well and was complete with photos from Groundspeak.

I think you have to be a member of the Good Sam club to get the magazine, but if anyone that can't get it wants to see it I'd be happy to scan and post.

I understand that I am mentioned in there. My GS membership has now expired so I won't recieve this issue. If you don't mind, I would love to see this.

thanx, jeff'
