kewfriend
I've never seen a DNF on an FTF - have you? Or are you like us - just too shame faced for the truth? Quote Link to comment
Pieman
There's my DNF and a couple of others on this one. Because of this, the kind cache setter actually moved the cache to a location with better GPS reception. Also had a DNF from Skippy and Pingu on my most recent cache- but they still got the FTF the next day! Quote Link to comment
Mr Nibbler
Yes - I posted one here recently: Heroes of Huntingdon Quote Link to comment
TND
How about Hyde Park #10? Not sure I would have admitted to it though! Quote Link to comment
John & Hazel
I've never seen a DNF on an FTF - have you? Or are you like us - just too shame faced for the truth? We posted one last week COC- A- LEAKY Quote Link to comment
Simply Paul
Hang on. If a DNF is Did Not Find, how can it be a FTF - First To Find? It just doesn't add up! It'd be a FNTF (First Not To Find) log, surely? I'm yet to fail to find a brand new cache I was looking for*, but I have had some DNFs as the first logs on at least one of my caches. When this happened I did get nervous about my co-ords for a while... A find put my mind at rest. SP *Tell a lie, there was Bob Smith's Olympic Legend which Dan and I failed to find last year. I have since been back and found it. Edited October 9, 2005 by Simply Paul Quote Link to comment

Learned Gerbil
I have posted DNFs on new caches. It strikes me as a very important thing to do. Othewise things like typos i nthe coordinates or the clue will not get picked up. Quote Link to comment
The Klever Boys
We can claim two http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...eb-d9707cd91893 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...5e-f3c1999cb00d Although the co-ords were wrong on the second one, but we eventually found it and got the FTF a couple of days later! +Alibags
The first three logs on this cache were DNFs. All the loggers were obviously fine upstanding honest members of the geocaching community! Quote Link to comment
Happy Humphrey
Procky, Windsockers and Ozetraveller all posted DNF'S before Windsockers' eventual success on this one this week. It took three visits and some inspiration for the FTF - well done, and no embarrassment about the struggling as it's VERY well camouflaged. HH Quote Link to comment
HazelS
YES!! Several of us posted DNF's on the final part of Mutato Nomine's Light of life series - Fiat Lux However... we worked together to get to the cache in the end, and there were about 6 finds in a day from what I recall!! Beer Monster
I know I failed to be the first to find this one. My excuse is that when I'm in a hot foreign country I find myself strangely reluctant to stick my hand into dark holes in stone walls. It's probably 50/50 whether you'll find a plastic box or a scorpion! I now routinely carry a torch! Quote Link to comment
