+Duncan!
This Just In... Dawg Team! Thwarts Forest Fire, Bags 10 FTFs On The PCT. Mt. Laguna, CA - In the early morning hours of September 4th, Dawg Team! members Chuy!, Duncan!, Mocha!, TripleCrown, and Willow! had just finished caching and hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail when they spotted an out of control camp fire at the Desert View picnic area, close to GC31H0Q TripleCrown called 911 while Duncan! sped to the nearby fire station. Duncan! rang the bell at the front door of the Mt Laguna fire station and had the opportunity to wake up some handsome firefighters. After alerting the firefighters, Duncan! and TripleCrown returned to the fire to find Chuy!, who was traveling in a separate vehicle, also phoning 911. Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly doused the flames which encompassed several hundred feet. Afterwards, Chuy! and TripleCrown made the short walk and scored the find on GC31AH6 Which took them much longer to find than it should have! Quote Link to comment

This could even become a common verb, to "Harmon" someone, as in bringing them fame and freinds through creative photoshop editting. I can see a future here Dear me, has my dream finally come true? I've always wanted an agent to look after my online welfare and now it seems that my hopes and dreams are fuflilled with not one but two agents to advise and console me. Lawdy mercy, my ship has finally come in. Bless you Cat & Bobby. Oddly enough I already enjoy a well-established verb-form; that is, to be "Harmonized" is a somewhat dubious distincion if you ask around. Still the name I purchased at age eighteen has a dark side that I'm compelled to share with you forthwith. At my mother's urging I took the name Harmon because it was the name of my grandfather on my mother's side. He served as a Marine guard aboard one of the battleships of the Great White fleet. Once upon a time my mother and grandmother took me to San Angelo, Texas mostly so they could haul a load of beer back to Taylor County because Taylor County was "dry." During the trip they stopped by where said grandfather was kept and took me at age four to be seen by grandfather Harmon Smith. Once there we found the old fellow sitting in a rocking chair out in the yard. He was a sad sight ... old, wasted, wispy-haired, bent over, and couldn't rock a lick. My mother hauled me out of the car and marched me into the old man's field of view and said to him "This is the grandson that was named after you." (See note below.) What he said in return was "I don't give a (s-word)!" I tried t' kick th' ol' goat but my mother held me back t' slap me. Oddly enough there's a snapshot of the meeting in my mother's old photo album. Those were th' days my friends ... white trash and proud of it. (For enlightenment read "Tobacco Road.) Note: With regard to the formality of my name ... my mother birthed me alone; that is, father not present, no hospital, no doctor, no midwife, nobody but herself and me, and no birth certificate. Twelve pound baby by the way ... poor mom ... no wonder she beat me a lot but that was normal back then. Great grandmother, grandmother, mother, Harmon Smith, and little no-name me. Don't take much t' see how I felt about th' experience. My mother smiled for the snapshot but please note that she restrained me by way of the collar of my dark blue, winged jumpsuit, and don't miss th' fact that my great grandmother was glaring at me and thinkin' "Why I oughta ...." Say, I'm shore glad we had this little talk. Back in them days we didn't have no GPS receivers ... my first experience with radio was whiskerin' Fort Worth by way of a crystal set. I'll just sit here twiddling my thumbs and waiting for Jodi to explode. Been a tough day what with Goldilocks here with her laptop and a list of things she wants to have explained to her. I love you Jodi, O yes I do-oo ... wait until you see what I did with the kid that'll eat ivy to-oo. Thanks for the photo-reload by the way. I noticed that you mostly sent images that will put Janie in the spotlight for a while. Hmm, no photos of you in the set ... ain't that an odd coincidence? Unearthly Janie! +Let's Look Over Thayer
This Just In... The interesting thing is that this is not the actual equator, in spite of the claim on the sign. According to my GPS (displaying an EPE of 15 feet), this line is ~6/100ths of a minute (360 feet) south of the actual equator. Quote Link to comment
