In the story we see the precursor of self-editing images or, shall we say, animation? In "The Picture of Dorian Gray" we see the seed of resistance to image alteration ... a Photoshop antagonists so to speak. Hmm, on Kindle, is it really a book? The one thing I do miss with an eReader is the physical manifestation of a book's size and heft. A progress-bar and a percentage value leaves that sense-of-size behind for me ... every "book" being the same physical size on an eReader. Well, not so if in megabytes I suppose. Saying goodbye to page numbers and to a favored bookmark, I'm still thinking those issues over. Still, Sandy presented a Kindle to me as a 76th birthday present ... since it arrived on December 15th I've checked-off ten classics from the "Waterstone's Top 100 books of the Century" list; last century of course. Imagine who I thought of as the Wicked Witch of the West screamed and did her meltdown scene on stage. So my question is ... are you doing well? On the other hand the fact that you've moulded my name into a staple of cache-titles I've received more and more inquiries from newbies asking about local Geocaching activities, equipment, and lore. Started with a boring shield-image found on the Internet, reworked the field and banner of the shield graphic to show Jodi, and then derived the metallic extrusion texture from a photo I shot of a piece of aluminum foil. The background is just a standard Photoshop stained-glass-texture effect. Ain't Jodi a lovely ol' gal? Looks like we can take it up a notch on tee-shirt graphics amd Yrium cards from now on ... once Jodi sells out of existing stock. I slept in this morning. However, I'm up now and doing my manly-man chores. Thing is that Mother Nature made the steps too tall going up through the bouldering section. Trying to keep pace with Joe and John made a difference as well. Made me feel good to read that a renowned high-country hiker, namely FlagMan, had some pain doing that last section of the climb. We've been Chuyed! ... that's all there is to it. Truth is I had a delightful day along that high trail with my pals Joe and John. So here's the one thing I ask, please take and post lots of snake pictures this year. Keep in mind that rattlesnakes most often warn you when you get too near them and it isn't in a rattlesnake's interest to strike. After all, snakes are out there just minding their own business. On the trail look ahead of your progress and if off-trail through high oats and grass ... walk well-behind a hiking companion with your camera at the ready. Quote Link to comment
