My brush with fame? Nope, but there I was quite near the

gal that melted the Wicked Witch. Nowadays it's the fad

to call such an experience a "closure."

Since when does Shirley Temple (Black) = Judy Garland??? I sort of prefered ST myself, but back then I was younger by quite a bit.

Hmmm...sounds like Harmon's "closure" has come unzipped...

The cover title is "Happy New Decade," just imagine, a major

publication that comprehends that Centuries and Decades begin

on the first day of year-numbers ending with a '1' rather than

a '0.' I so hope that the knowledge spreads to other media that

insist on celebrating a year too soon for some idiotic reason.

Yes indeed, happy new decade!

Good eye for detail, well done...

...I can also say with certainty that the facts

in my little tale are completely true because

I wrote them myself. In this case, point

being that Shirley Temple is the closest I

ever got to Judy Garland; if y' get my drift.

Love it,

Harmon

For some reason or other, I did some more research on the subject...

I'm a compulsive when it comes to things working or not...

I will stand by my original post... but for your benefit, and to smooth things a bit with

your friends... (zip) Take a look at this I found. You have to scroll down a bit on that site or search insite.

Shirley Temples TV Show

Seems she was at least a major character from the F.L.Baum stories.

Thanks pal, but there's no smoothing things out with my friends.

All of my friends have my number for some reason that I fail to

understand.

Just to cloudy the Oz waters a bit ... I have a very faint

recollection that Shirley Temple was considered a possible

candidate for the role of Dorothy. Admittedly my recollection

seems a bit weak due to Shirley Temples age at the time that

the Oz characters were cast.

At any rate, thanks for your support. If one reads carefully

back through my posts on this thread one will find that I

often assert suspicious facts. Point is that it's one way of

discovering how well my friends read my T.B.S.

Off duty

WWOTOIB?

Is that you waving the fabric behind her, Harmon?

Kind of cool!

Thank goodness, I thought it was just me. I'm so glad that you

can see undulations too. I have been worried that I'm suffering

from too many of Jodi's "Harmon" hides.

Just the other day I was scoring one of her recent "Harmon" hides

when, all of a sudden, I noticed that the container turned into a

pooper-can. A young person like yourself wouldn't appreciate why

seeing a toilet would be a problem for an old guy. Do allow me to

explain it with a lifelong question I've always had.

Question is, how does your bladder know that you are almost home

and that the entry door is locked? Must be that a bladder has

access to our eyeballs, yes? If so then this phenomenon also

explains why old people have to pee when the see or even think of

nearby venues for the act of relief. I appeal to you and to any

other right-thinkig Forum reader to 'splain this issue to me.

On the other hand the image in question is a product of Photoshop

trickery akin to a 3D stereogram image that went bad. Couldn't

help thinking of Jodi when regarding that image 'cause that ol'

gal always makes me weird. Well, you know, weirder than usual.

Thanks for noticing and for sayin' so,

Harmon

Note to Self: Hmm, should I post that image of Lulu499 and RocketMan coming out of the same public toilet?

Keep it under your hat!

Actually, maybe we are in Kansas Todo.

What the.....???? :laughing::laughing:

Whoa!

THIS sure did bring back memories for me. I kept having to ask myself, "Which would I prefer right now? A groping? or to have one of these images made of me (that may or may not be deleted ... but CAN be deleted)." Hmmm. I figured I'd prefer the groping option, but I can see why ol' Harmon would like his pic taken. Thanks for sharing, ol' buddy!

I went through the TSA security 6 times in the past few weeks, and I only got groped once! It wasn't even close to the thrill of finding a geocache either ... quite disappointing, if I do say so. I'd get all ready, cha cha dress n' all, and then ... they'd just flag me on by to go pick up my shoes. It just ain't right.

Poor ol' Harmon

Hey Ol' Buddy!

Where have I been, eh? Well ... suffice it to say that the past few months have been full of difficult times for me. I lost a very dear friend in September, and I'm not sure I've recovered from that yet. After my friend died, I kept getting hit with more of life's woes, literally one thing after another. The snowball kept getting bigger as more troubles came my way, and I became overwhelmed by it all. My spirits were pretty low during the Autumn months ... I was a very blue Barrie.

My sister took me away to Yosemite to celebrate my 50th birthday in late December ... it was my very first trip there. We attended the Bracebridge Dinner, all decked out in formal attire, at the Ahwahnee. On my birthday, we hiked to Yosemite Falls while it was snowing, and I sensed my spirits lifted. Something about being out there, surrounded by such incredible beauty, seemed to have helped me out of my sadness.

My birthday trip to Yosemite

I do access facebook often, this is true. It's just easier for me to do so on my iPhone than it is to get onto the forums and post. I'm sorry I've been absent ... but I honestly wasn't very good company there for quite awhile. So ... ya missed me, eh? Likewise. I wonder if this would be a good time to tell you that I've been working on something special - just for you?

I've missed you, ol' buddy.

And you a Barrister.

What about the people that you have sent emails to?

And what about all the people on all of the emails

sent by the people that you sent emails to? And so

on ...? All easily gleaned from the sent-to lines

of your emails and theirs.

Not only nude-photos as the perp' in this case was

interested in but the wealth of other personal

information mined and deduced from the descending

tree of "To:" addresses that emanate from your own

emails?

One can say, "I don't personally know of anyone

attacked in this way." Well, of course not, that's

your one and only protection ... that you are one

in millions of potential targets so admittedly it

seems a slim likelyhood to be hit. Too many for the

perp's to deal with.

Trouble is ... what's the actual chance of your

email address being targeted. Remember ... in a

single trial there's only two outcomes; hit or not

hit ... a coin flip. One trial doesn't affect

another so chance is 50% on a single trial.

(Would you bet your house on a single such trial?)

By the way, did I mention that Facebook user data

is sold by way of the Facebook game developers ...

assuring that Facebook can deny selling it. Slick!

Ain't no thang to me ... just think about it and

keep in mind what the underlying purpose of

Facebook is.

Hey look, free but unexpected email and

photo sharing by way of Facebook.

Hahahahaha!

Facebook Hack

Here's the fun part "Hacked into dozens of

women's e-mail accounts across the nation

and overseas" and "gleaned" personal

information. Love that word ... "gleaned."

To put it another way he easily gained

access to their email accounts using tidbits

of information found on Facebook postings.

Fortunately his interest didn't include

monetary and physical assets.

Social roulette at it's finest. Why would

weirdos want to hack Facebook? Easy,

'cause there are so many users.

Thing is the kid exploited only what the

so-called "victims" exposed to the world

by way of postings on their Facebook

accounts. Seemingly unrelated tidbits of

information taken as a set are all to

revelatory.

Called by the generic term it's the time

honored art and practices of spying. Even

beats dumpster diving for results.

It's not without reason that I chose to

avoid Facebook. What shocked me was the

ease with which I could mine personal

information from Facebook accounts.

Social networking is risky business and

more cases like this one are sure to

follow.

Have a nice day ... be sure to "Like"

something.

Luckily for everyone on MY e-mail list, I don't think there are any nude or semi-nude pictures of me floating around out there...

Yeah, it's almost as bad as some guy pulling your innocent photo from a geocaching.com log and doing some kind of PhotoShop molestation to it. ;)

What I said ... hundreds of instances of Geocachers

that were targeted by some crazed old perpetrator.

Wait a minute ... "Innocent photo?" What does that

mean?
