Dear lord...

I am at a loss for words... Shock, horror, and envy are flooding through me right now. Those incredible photographs must only be bypassed by the incredible adventures that spawned them.

What have I gotten myself into... Only one way to find out.

Run for it!

You are surrounded by the craziest Geocachers on the planet.

Start out easy in Colorado or Arizona and work up to San Diego

County at a slow pace. Don't say you weren't warned.

On the other hand if you are determined to experience a trial by

fire then go to the link below and then find and watch the

"View Slideshow" option.

Note to Self: Danged nube ... no profile photos of him yet.

Must have been the misty rain at Woodstock VIII,

apparently all but two cameras broke down.

No, wait, I'll bet all the photos are posted on that

commie-pinko Facebook thingy. Why I oughta ....

Yep. Get with it Harmon.

Been there, done that ... I lasted three days. I must admit

that the Facebook concept of "friends" is fascinating.

Needs to be two ways to write the word, "Friends" would

mean people you actually know and "friends" would mean

everybody else on earth.

And another thing ... what's with the "Like" button?

Shouldn't there also be a "Don't Like" button? O, sorry ...

on Facebook we "Like" all our "friends" don't we? No wait.

one can "Unfriend" people too, huh? On Facebook is it

possible to "Like" an "Unfriended" "friend" or not?

By not being on Facebook it must mean that I can have

"Friends" but I can't have "friends." It's so confusing ....

I think I'll just get a dog.

Say, here's an insight ... on Facebook Farmville I understand

that you can trade manure. With a dog that's already built

into th' nature of th' beast.

Hmm, can you "friend" a dog on Facebook? If so then how

does the dog know?

Parking: $5

Street Food from the Fremont Street Fair: $7.50

A 2010 Lackey Geocoin: $10

A donation for three tosses at the dunk tank: $5

Sending Marko underwater without a submarine: Priceless!

Well, it is pretty-close to behind-bars. Gosh. he looks kind of,

you know, hydrated. For a submarine Captain it should seem

quite normal to him.

Well done James, is there a kitty we can chip into?

:) I thought that stuff was banned from caches? Honk if you can name the brand and how many Janie has already had :)

Honk! ... I can read the label in the hi-res shot.

Finally I understand why that guy can't bunch

his socks ... too stewed t' bend over, that's it.

As for Janie, well ... she is from Lakeside and all.

Surely you know about that sweatrshirt she's

wearinig ... an anagram for "BAMO!"

Just a couple of my many favorite people, sure

hate t' see 'em in this condition. In public no less.

Note to Self: Facebook must be down for maintenance today.

Just excuses, I know, but Euuuuewwwww............

I was warning the others about the dangers of drinking, especially in public! Besides, that is a wheat based beer, I think it's sold in health stores! :D Rocketman is another story.............. :)

Well excu-u-u-u-se me!

Thanks Pal. Are you trying to get me in trouble with Lisa? :)

Nancy told me that finding you in there doing your thang

gave her a whole new meaning to Woodstock VIII.

If you don't believe it then just look at the expression

that was on her face.

You-da man!

Note to Self: Hmm ... beer guzzling, gum stuck to walls, coed

public bathrooms, unbunched socks, caged reviewers ...

maybe I'll pass on Woodstock IX.

Funny thing about photography, once in a while a reflection is

as interesting as the actual scene. Almost so in this case.

Note to Self: Got to remember this day and this page of the thread;

"This just in ... Page 74" reminds me of the olden days of the Forum.

Denice revisits her car-hop roots ... those were the days.

:) She hasn't changed a bit has she....we had so much fun with Denice in her "town"...even got to see her elementary school! :)

Whut? ... y' mean she went t' school? Seems to me that car-hop

outfit she wore would have put her on a different career track.

According to a reliable source (?) Denice did indeed work as a

car-hop at that self-same XXX Root Beer drive in. Say it isn't so

Denice, say it isn't so.

Hmm, any chance she has photos of her actual car-hop outfit?

Janie,

The thing that caught my eye about the flower-girl photo

board shot is how your corn-silk hair and the delicate

pinkness of your tiny little tongue goes so well with the

colors of the flower-girl outfit you chose to appear behind.

You've always had a terrific sense of fashion as evidenced

by the many photos that you have appeared in on these

Forum threads. You're regular fashion-queen Janie, yes

you are.

Shall I go on?

Hearing your laughter is one of the treats of my Geocaching

days. My goodness, how I remember the day I shot that

DTCMMBLB photo and proposed the title that stuck. Rare good.

Keep on laughing,

Harmon

Jody, the official dunk-tank attendant.

Chain link ... a nightmare from a Photoshop point of view.

Truth is we (the Geo-chicks) already had a plan to put Tom out of his misery if the next ball thrower didn't do it. And then Minnie stepped up to the plate and in her sweet little voice said "Do I have to hit it in the middle?". She lobbed the ball and the rest was just priceless! We figured since she slam dunked Mike back into this world dunking Marco oughta be easy. And indeed she came through again!

Jodi,

That's it ... now I'm out of Woodstock VIII hi-res

source images. Sure was fun while it lasted and

I feel much better now.

Thanks gal-pal,

Harmon

I can feed ya a few more tonight. We ain't done yet my friend!

Jodi,

You're just th' sweetest thang. That shot of a San Diego Geocacher

that herein shall remain nameless is a hoot ... that's a whole lot of

exposure for public places. That shot is definitely on my Photoshop

special-treatment list.

First though I've got some serious Goog'ling to do, might take a

while. Definitely going to post the result in hi-resolution. It may

become best Forum post of the year.

Well done on your candid-camera photography.

Thanks pal,

Harmon

Well, I might have missed out on the "Geo-Chicks" fun ... but I did sport my wonderful shirt for the group picture (aren't I s'posed to pay someone for that shirt?). This isn't the best picture of me; I'm sorry Harmon, ol' buddy. I guess once I got to having fun ... I plum forgot ta take more pictures so you could PhotoShop me into embarrassment. All I had for picture takin' was my iPhone. Hmmm, what a shame, too; I'm not sure what I was thinkin'. I waited around for the "chicks," traded my PathTag with plenty of nice folk, and had a real fine lunch. After about three hours, I figured I'd better get a move-on; yep, I even tried to call those gals. The only SDGCs I recall seein' were LLOT, habu!, zeber and Mike n' Minnie. Ya know ... I'd betcha anything those chicks were out  geocaching!

Glad to be home,

Barrie,

Delighted to hear from you. I started thinking that maybe

you got lost in the forest with BigFoot. Great shot of you and

that mojo ammo can. Hoping to see more shots from you.

Apparently everybody got spread out during the event. Guess

it needs to be a longer event so that people could have time

set aside for meeting and comparing notes.

Of course I kept the home-fires smoldering while all of you

front-runners were away. Early photos came in from

BlondHiLites and Luv2bake, and then a big email load of shots

came from Jodi once she got back and settled down.

Shut-ins like me really appreciate the images and messages.

Your ol' pal,

Harmon
