+Delta_flyer21
I've been wondering if one of the Forerunner products would be good for geocaching. I've often found that I lose a signal with my Vista because I have it around my neck. However, the Forerunner goes on the wrist and I'm thinking this might be better. Anyone want to comment? +2Wheel'in
My wife uses a Forerunner for caching when we hunt via bicycle. It attaches to the handlebar easily, and can quickly be removed. It works "OK"...limited waypoint symbols, I think it only holds 100 waypoints, it has an annoying habit (on the compass page) of spinning and spinning when the unit is stationary and a goto is in effect. The choice of screens is fairly limited too. It works quite well for what it's designed for (walking/jogging/biking), and works for caching in a pinch. If you haven't purchased one already...I would suggest you borrow one and try it out for caching first. Regards, Bill Quote Link to comment
tubemonkey
Get a Foretrex. It's essentially a Geko-(201)-on-a-wrist. Quote Link to comment
