+backwoodlessons2 Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Hi, I am planning a trip from Coast to Coast in which I will go caching all the way. If you have a favorite cache, please tell me so I can try to get to it. Also, if you know of any roads or highways with lots of caches, please tell me so I can try to visit them too. Thanks. backwoodlessons2 Quote
+RPW Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 My favorite caches are the ones that take a long time to either (a) hike, ( find, © solve [for a puzzle cache] or (d) complete [for a multi-cache]. Another 'cache in a lamppost at Walmart' 1/1 doesn't even get into the top 100. Unfortunately -- unless you have lots of time -- that is probably the type of cache you will have deal with. Also knowing your general path would help us give you suggestions. Are you planning to wander through Indiana? Kentucky? Tennesee? The hurricane-ravaged deep south? Help us out with some details so that we can help you in return. Quote
+backwoodlessons2 Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 I am planning on going through Wisconsin, Chicago, and possibly Indiana, Kentucky, Tennesee. Basically, whatever people tell me to do, I will do. Quote

+RetiredDNR&R2 Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 South of Chicago, off of RT 80 is the Canal Heritage series. Most are located on or near the Historic I&M Canal. +Doughball Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 If you're going to be in the Channahon IL area (just SW of the I80 and I55 intersection) don't miss the chance to get a Project Ape icon in your profile. Mission 12: Blind Canal is one of only 3 left in the US. Quote
