How Do You Know The Difference?

I recently traded for a Texas 2004, but how do I know that it is a 2004 ver. 2005? I can't see any difference and I traded a good coin for this one, I would hate to have another 2005 .

The picture I posted in this thread shows a 2005 and 2004 in the lower right corner of the shelf. The 2005 has the cacher walking. The 2004 doesn't. I think the 2004 has the year stamped on it.

I think the 2004 is a bronze coin, and the 2005 is more like a medallion (more raised).

From what I've come across, I believe there were 2 versions of 2003 (I think they both had the same front design but different backs). I don't think there was a 2004 version. And the 2005 version is the raised version that can still be bought.

Do they look exactly alike? Like the bottom pic on Silvermarc's post? Because if they are, I'm pretty sure you have two 2005 coins.

I have a Texas 2003 that says 2003 on the back with a gc.com symbol. I also have a 2005 I ordered earlier this year. But on cointracking.com I found this picture that says it's a 2003, but it's not on either of my coins.

Above pic is apparently the Texas 2003 Lonestar Edition. Ah, another coin that I don't have.

I am so mad now it's not even funny, I was traded for the 2005 coin. But I will also say that maybe he didn't know when he traded me. But I am still mad.
