tholt4
The Sports Authority I went to in Tallahassee, FL had no Garmin Units - said they were only going to carry Magellen from now on and had a very small selection of those. Quote Link to comment
+dyankee1995
We bought our first one at a Gander Mountain and they had an extensive collection. Not sure why yours would not. Quote Link to comment
+MoDean and Tanner
Do you have a Boat/US or West Marine store near you? They will have some of the Garmin handhelds in stock. At least the 72 and 76 series and Etrex Color units. Quote Link to comment
+GrnXnham
No way I'd buy a GPSr from any of the local stores in our area. I found the internet stores to be as much as $100 cheaper on a Garmin 60C than any of the local sporting goods stores. And the sales tax vs shipping was a wash. Bottom line: Check internet prices before buying. Quote Link to comment
2Airedales
Thanks all but I have no idea which unit to purchase anyway will reinvent the wheel. Thanks anyway Quote Link to comment
+tands
Buying from a local store is a good way to keep folks in your community employed, and many will price match the net prices, but back to topic.... Like someone said, West Marine has a bunch of units to play with. And they let you play with them. Go there. They have the etrex series and 60 series also at our store as well as the Magellan line. - T of TandS Quote Link to comment

I'll be buying online but go to the stores to look at them and compare them. Quote Link to comment
