Have you got an old computer mouse you don't use? I'll bet no one is as cheap as this.

 

I haven't tried it yet but am going to. There is an eTrex Yellow on the way to me as I speak. I'll let you know how it works out.

Tried it and it works great. But it's not really rugged.

 

For a few dollars more, try an old mouse and one of these connectors from pfranc.com. I build one for my etrex, one for a freind's etrex, and one for a friend's GPS 38 (different connector). Both worked great.

Using a mouse cable is a good idea. Finish it off with a connector from this guy.

His site is total confusion but his connectors are great. I have made custom power supplies and power supply/data cables using old mouse cables and his connectors.
