welch Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 i've been having problems the last few minutes too
carleenp Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Both the main site and Waymarking appear to be down. I assume someone is working on it and they will be back up again.
GOT GPS? Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 (edited) I finally learned to put a link to the forums itself on my Desktop, then I don't have any problems getting here, if geocaching.com is down. Im getting weird stuff at the bottom of the page, when I try to load the geocaching main page. Edited September 12, 2005 by GOT GPS?
Mopar Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 There has been a MASSIVE power failure in Los Angeles, and it seems to have taken down part of the internet backbone until things can get routed around it. It's possible this has some effect on the geocaching sites as well.
Jeremy Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 It is a database issue. We're working on it now.
flask Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 let's get it fixed, kids.... i'm getting jittery!
Miragee Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Me too. I placed four caches yesterday and want to see if they've been approved . . .
Mopar Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 let's get it fixed, kids.... i'm getting jittery! This is when it's great to have PQs! I'm actually getting more jittery because the Washington DC area radio show I listen to every afternoon via an internet stream has had nothing but a page up for the last 90 minutes stating "the internet broadcast is down due to a massive power outage in los angeles. We are working to re-route the stream as quickly as possible."
cache_test_dummies Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 An excellent suggestion! I feel much better now, thanks!
LarryGC Posted September 13, 2005 Author Posted September 13, 2005 Something still going on. Was working fine the last 2 hours... and now it's down again... at 4AM ET? Server Error in '/' Application.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached.
