Dragoon
How many users here are from newfoundland? I'm looking at setting up a site for Newfoundland Caching, and general geocaching fun. Looking to get an idea of how many would be interested in such a thing. Quote Link to comment
VO2WW
There are about a dozen of us active in Labrador Quote Link to comment

cache_r_joe
What about MGA, could that be expanded to include our NF buddies? J Quote Link to comment
CasheKicker
I would support MGA becoming AGA. Maritime to Atlantic. Something that could be brought up at our Next MGA-AGM (Maritime Geocaching Association - Annual General Meeting) on Sept.17, 2005. Perhaps it is something, no not perhaps, I will go back to MGA right now and Start the thread. Well I may have just made some waves but I posted the thread. You can view it RIGHT HERE and we will see how it goes. Quote Link to comment
Dragoon
I've suggested that to MGA members a few times, but was told that newfoundlanders wernt interested in it.. since it was named the "MGA", but I cant see why it couldnt be expanded quite easily to not exclude an area thats booming with good traditional caches vs highway toss's. Being a newf living in Moncton, I'd be glad to be the token newf to get the rest on board, of the possible ACGA ? (Atlantic Canada Geocaching Associaition?) If the MGA doesn't want to expand its borders, I'm fair game to creating a full system just for Newfoundlanders. Quote Link to comment
CasheKicker
The MGA site admin has stated that a name change wold be in order if there was enough intrest shown from the Rock. Arms wide open to receive you bye's. Just take the link up and voice your interest. Show your interest Edited September 11, 2005 by CasheKicker Quote Link to comment

Blomidon
A Newfoundland and Labrador forum seems a great idea. I prefer that we keep it to this province because of its unique environment and vast wilderness area. Blomidon Quote Link to comment
Dragoon
Location of the server would be irrelevant if there was a specific area for NFLD caching. Quote Link to comment
thecyr
This is new forum Quote Link to comment
Dragoon
Although its all well and good that you made that forum.. It would have been a possible better idea to consult others before creating it, such as I did via this forum.. Quote Link to comment
master104
I'm all for a Newfoundland and Labrador site. I live in Kelligrews and from what I see in the short time I have been into the sport there would be more than enough Geocachers to keep it active. Quote Link to comment
