:laughing::laughing::laughing:Congrats to the Splashes for entry into the MTRP Hall of Fame!!! :unsure:;)B)

 

They are On Fire!!!!

 

 

 

Thanks everybody! Have to tell ya tho, the only thing on fire right now are all of our lower extremities!

 

Three weeks to clear everything out, 79 caches we needed, and almost 53 miles of hiking, including 12.8 miles yesterday in mtrp trying to beat the rain! We found the final two that we needed this morning.

 

Thanks to Tom for the kick 'in the back of our laps' to get us out there on those great trails!!

 

 

And, no Harmon, they wouldn't let me in the park with my lawnmower!

Well, sure, so how about mowing a path for me through the next

jungle of bushes, weeds, and grass that Jodi picks out for me?

 

I swear she nearly did me in, in the Steltzer outback. Of course that

might be because I pressed on north and then west onto a tough trail

that comes out in a residential compound north of Steltzer Park. Got

a sobering dose of dawgs and reclusive residents. Worse yet I placed

a container along the way that's now an orphan. Should have been

smart and worked on the MTRP wrapup.

 

Anyway, well done to you two. Steve had been putting me to shame.

He was with you for your MTRP challenge wasn't he?

Aw, shucks, I'm so embarrassed by all the fuss about another birthday. Not!

 

Well, I did make it out of bed this birthday morning and am delighted by all

the birthday greetings. Sandy and I are headed out-back for a nice drive and

dinner somewhere along the way. So far being seventy-five is just fine except

when I look in the mirror and pay attention to the bushwhacking bruises and

cuts all over my arms and hands. (Thank you very much for that Jodi dear.)

 

One really good thing about today is knowing that I have lots of Geocaching

pals to fill in the gaps between family and other friends.

 

A good life can be so simple, just stick to the three things that really matter ...

something to do, someone to love, and something to look forward to.

Congrats to you folks with mega-numbers. I love walking the trails cleared by some of the greatest cachers here in sunny CA. (Yea, I know many of you are rated high in the country too.) I'm nearing my 500th and am looking for and adventurous cache for my milestone. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

Szar Foyo is more local and a great challenge....you can do it!

You never do the easy ones, and even cleared out the S. side of I-8 all the way to the AZ border at one time on the sly (wonder why?)

A big Congratulations from us, too! Your hides were among the first we found and we loved reading your logs. Our favorite is still the one for Meadow Walk on 1/16/05!!! :):huh::D We hope you enjoy the next 10,000 as much as you did the first!
