+Touchstone Posted September 5, 2005 Share Posted September 5, 2005 I've hear various mentions of a "competitive" aspect to the Waymarking game but haven't seen anything specific yet (Markwell me, Please ) So, I was out backpacking with the family this week and had lots of time to think while I was humping in the 60+ pounds of gear on the East side of the Sierra. How about a new Supercategory (like the Person, Place, Thing Supercategories) that has groups of Waymarks. What I was thinking was something similar to what the Mazamas, in Portland, OR do. They have awards for climbing various Cascade Peaks , and I was thinking the same thing would work for Waymarking. For instance, you could have a group of Waymarks for the California Peaks above 14,000 (or Colorado for that matter). This could work for all kinds of Categories (first person to Waymark/Visit 100 CCC Projects). Link to comment
