Rangers of Ithilien
Hi Guys! I have a travelbug I want to plant in a cache hopefully in Calgary where we will be for just 2 days in September. I've been trying to find an easy access cache which will accomadate a tiny tb, basically if the cache is large enough to accept the tag then the rest will fit in! As we are staying at the Palliser I was wondering if there was anything in the general area that would be suitable? Its got to be reasonably easy to access or my husband who is a non-cacher will get grumpy! Any help will be gratefully received! Cheers, Tiffany Quote Link to comment
+dogbreathcanada
Well, the Palliser Hotel is right bext to the Calgary Tower and the tower's coords are N 51° 02.660 W 114° 03.790. Do a cache search from those coords and you should come up with a cache that'll hold the travel bug. Anything in the downtown area should be an easy walk. Quote Link to comment
Rangers of Ithilien
Thanks for that, I guess I should have started there to begin with Tiffany Quote Link to comment
+northernpenguin
Since I'll be in the Calgary area as well (on business), and I already know how to dump data from geocaching.com into my PDA I'm going to ask the same question, a bit different. What are the "must do" caches in the downtown, or southeast section of the city? I'd rather not end up doing a WalMart micro if I only have time for one or two caches, Quote Link to comment
+graylling
If your flying in there are a couple right close to the airport that are within walking distance of the terminal (about 15 - 20 min walk). Look for "Layover" "A Guy Thing 2" and "Fit for Flight". Quote Link to comment
+Red90
I would suggest redirecting the query here: Calgary Cacher Forums Quote Link to comment
