+Coach Steve Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I'm doing my next 4/5 left on my list! Could take me all weedend! Yippee!
+dogbreathcanada Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I'm going caching today ... hiking up two mountains.
twjolson & Kay Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Finally, a posting that doesn't B**** and complain.
+tabulator32 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Finally, a posting that doesn't B**** and complain. Except for that.
Apollo Bob Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I, too, have decided to take tomorrow off from work and have a caching day. I've got my route planned, my coordinate puzzles solved, a bag full of trading swag in the car. I'm stoked. I even fantasize about getting up and starting before sunrise, but I'm probably fooling myself with that one...
+KoosKoos Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Finally, a posting that doesn't B**** and complain. I really can't stand the fact that I can't take off tomorrow and go caching!! And my sister-in-law is coming for the weekend, so I probably won't to get to go then!! And it's really hot here right now!!! There...enough complaining to keep this thread believable.
+gsguru Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 OK, going to add my 2 cents worth.. After packing and moving over the last 3 weeks and unable to cache, I am FINALLY going to an event this Saturday and cache on Sunday. I am so excited I can hardly wait. I have 12 different caches I want to attempt, reach for the sky baybee.. gsguru
+deimos444 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Thank you very much for the positive position. Too many of us get negative in these threads.
+WhatsRNutts Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 We have my first event in October. I can't wait. I probably won't go caching this weekend cause we are closing VERY soon on our house and are trying to save all the money we can to get a stove. cooking in a counter top burner stinks cause it takes forever to boil water...but, I can say that I own my very own house...no more renting.... it looks a lot better than that now... we spent all weekend cleaning up the grass, fertalizing, trimming, weed whacking, filling in the ditch in the yard, and we put lava rocks and solar lights along the walkway... its looking good...our next big projects are to put in a privacy fence, redo the porches(they are plywood right now) and get new skirting for around the house(it has lots of holes in it from the weed eater)
+Kit Fox Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Even though I have a sinus infection, I scaled a slippery slope, to bag a White Jeep TB this morning. GCPZ6F
+Brendal Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I am going to hit a few caches after work today. Can't wait! Cheers
+sept1c_tank Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 (edited) Slow down, you move too fast. You got to make the morning last. Just kicking down the cobble stones. Looking for fun and feelin’ groovy. Hello lamppost, What cha knowing? I’ve come to watch your flowers growing. Ain’t cha got no rhymes for me? Doot-in’ doo-doo, Feelin’ groovy. Got no deeds to do, No promises to keep. I’m dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep. Let the morning time drop all it’s petals on me. Life, I love you, All is groovy. ~~Simon and Garfunkel (Notice the use of lamppost and Doot in this very early caching song.) Edited August 25, 2005 by sept1c_tank
+denali7 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 i was up all night doing a brand new 5.5 night/water cache for my 100th, so now i'm lazing on the deck all day drinking pina coladas. can't get any more positive than that!
Mr. TSP Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I just came from caching. Grabbed two new ones. One before I got to work (FTF!!!) and one just now on my lunch hour. Both within walking distance. I'm going to get an Earthcache this weekend before they disappear from this site. Woo hoo!
+WhatsRNutts Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 (Notice the use of lamppost and Doot in this very early caching song.) I don't get it....what is doot??
+sept1c_tank Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 (Notice the use of lamppost and Doot in this very early caching song.) I don't get it....what is doot?? I'm not exactly sure; ask umc. His avatar, for a long time, featured a doot bucket!
+Clan Delaney Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I went caching today! This morning. Got beat to the cache by 2 other locals and a couple of (supposed) teens that weren't even cachers! Fun fun. And my day's not over yet. I may go again!
WH Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Everything's Fine, Nothing to Complain About Now, If we can only keep CoyoteRed out of here, this thread should remain complaint free.
+sept1c_tank Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 (Notice the use of lamppost and Doot in this very early caching song.) I don't get it....what is doot?? Your question piqued my curiosity. The doot bucket was used by umc, a moderator for these forums. A Google search turned up one possibility. Back in the 80s, an obscure new wave group from UK wrote this song: Doot-Doot What's in a name? Face on a stage Where are you now? Memory fades, you take a bow Here in the dark Watching the screen Look at them fall The final scene And we go doot Doot doot Look at them fall Flicker and fade Gone are the screams I put them to bed, now they are dreams And we go doot Doot doot Maybe this is what umc was referring to?...maybe not?

I love my reviewer, he's the greatest. Geocaching is the greatest game ever. Blah, blah, blah. If you people can't find something to complain about your not trying hard enough. Forum Slackers. There. That's better.
+mtn-man Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Dad is doing better, so I might stay home this weekend. Hmmm... if I could only think of something fun to do...
SCP-173 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I wish there were caches for me to find close to home. Everything's only partly fine.
+tabulator32 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Awesome, beautiful day. All is fine. I have tomorrow off. 'Will get some caching done tomorrow. (I am starting to feel better already.)

+tabulator32 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Just saw the weather forcast. Have the weekend off and guess what. RAIN all weekend. That's a good thing! LESS MUGGLES! Now, GET OUT THERE AND CACHE!
+Jhwk Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Caching in the rain can be very relaxing and refreshing. Did a 6+ mile cache two weeks ago in the rain. No muggles or ticks or chiggers or mosquitos to speak of. Can't wait for the weekend - have 27 caches targeted SW of here, but I probably won't get to them all. I'm pushing for my first 100. All is fine...
+WhatsRNutts Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 (edited) That's a good thing! LESS MUGGLES! Now, GET OUT THERE AND CACHE! yeah, signal can do it, so can you! edited to fix HTML Edited August 26, 2005 by wreckelite
+the hermit crabs Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 We went caching in the rain last weekend. We had umbrellas with us, and when it started raining hard, we opened them up, and ran into an unexpected side effect: my co-crab's Vista immediately lost all its satellites as soon as his umbrella went up. (I had the Vista C and didn't lose any.)
+welch Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I'm going caching this weekend! I don't like your tone!!

The wife has been informed (permission requested ) that I will be out and I have my PQs now. Rain or shine I've got caches to cache.
+Jester2112 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 That's it. YOU PEOPLE have finally done it! I can't stand it anymore. It's all YOUR fault!!!! I'm going caching today. If my boss calls, tell him I ran out crying and you don't know what's wrong...or something like that!

Huhhmmm????
+Glenn Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 You can make sure that everything is fine while you are out geocaching with this, Everything is Okay Alarm. You'll have to build it yourself, it is only a mockup submitted for a contest.
+tozainamboku Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I have no complaints, now that I know the volunteer admins treat everyone the same (see log) In case you don't know, FullOn = SoCalAdmin

She won't get her own premium membership until she hold the gps on her own. She does have signal watching out for her.

+Joypa Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 I plan to go north and northeast to pick up a dozen or so newer caches this weekend...and one vexing old one I could not find. I hope to plant a new one as well and, if I get time, I am going east to get a mystery cache I solved. Should be fun. Looking forward to it.

ScottFla Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I'm a Realtor and my closing was moved up a week to today so afterwards, I'm going caching. Then Saturday I am placing my first cache and will probably cache some more! Yay early closings!
