What Happens To Scavengers Hunt & Similar

There are a number of locationless caches that change their category each time, such as the various scavengers hunt, locationless, photographer's caches.

 

What happens to these? Is there or will there be a category for them to fit into? The concept of categories doesn't fit, and the new Waymarking web site doesn't seem set up well to handle this type. Most of the other locationless caches can fit into categories though.

If you have a category of "scavenger hunt" you could change the listings periodically, if it is allowed to have that category.

You aren't going to be able to change your category name. I think the reason most of those scavenger hunt caches even existed at all was because of the moratorium on new locationless caches. People used them as a work-around for creating a new cache once their old idea was played out.

 

With Waymarking, I think you'd just propose a new category and either find someone to adopt your old category when you are tired of it, or have them both running at the same time.
