+Tsegi Mike and Desert Viking
I have a photo on one listing I posted, in the gallery. I wish to delete that photo. How do I go about doing so? If we cant, would it be possible to add that ability? Link to comment
+Sue Gremlin
You mean delete a photo from a logged find? Under your listing is an option to view/edit listing. Click on that and it will allow you to edit or delete your photo. Link to comment
+Tsegi Mike and Desert Viking
I mean, I posted a waymark listing, not a visit. I posted a photo in the gallery and I need to remove it. I have looked under the edit feature and cant find anything that allows me to delete a gallery photo. Can someone please point out to me how to do it, if I can? Link to comment

Yes, there definitely needs to be an archive function for images. When I get back to the office on Monday, I'll put it on the high-priority to-do list. Link to comment
+Hard Oiler
Glad I'm not alone - just created a waymark, uploaded the wrong image by mistake and now can't find any way to remove it. Link to comment
HoMiPa
Now I've done the same silly thing - created a waymark, and posted the wrong photo to the gallery, but there doesn't seem to be any way to remove it. I've posted the correct photo twice, but it doesn't show up, and I can't get rid of the wrong photo! HELP! Link to comment
HoMiPa
Any method yet on how to delete photos if you have posted the wrong one? Link to comment
+Catlon
...and the ability to edit the caption that goes with the photo! Link to comment

Geez - your high priority list must be pretty long! Any update on being able to delete incorrect photos that we posted? Link to comment
+ElectroQTed
I must add my request to this growing list. I would like to change the photo I uploaded for a waymark (Canadian Benchmark) that I created. We NEED a way to edit (delete, change caption, etc.) photos like in GC.com. Any suggestions in the meantime? Link to comment
+NomadVW
Ditto.. just uploaded one without rotating it. *mumble* VW Link to comment

Jeremy
The site currently works a bit differently than geocaching.com. Click on the image and it takes you to an intermediary page where you can archive it. There is currently no way to flip or otherwise change the image, however. Link to comment
+NomadVW
Found it, thanks Jeremy. Link to comment
South Surrey Scavengers
Time to bump this one up. I posted some photos and found the same problems. I can't edit the caption with the photo. You can archive the photo now though so I guess I could archive the existing one then upload it again and use the right caption this time. Link to comment

The ability to delete/archive photos has been up for at least a month now. When you are in any photo gallery, select the photo you are interested in deleting and click on it. It will take you to a page that contains a "archive this image" checkbox. Check the checkbox and click update photo. This will remove the photo from the system. In the next update all references to "archiving" things on the site will now be refered to as "deleting", as we now recognize the wording is confusing. Hope this helps. Bootron Link to comment

+LSUMonica
Any news on this, i.e. editing photos such as captions? Link to comment
+Klemmer
I second LSUMonica. If we have to delete ("archive") the photo to correct a typo in the caption or note text, OK I guess, but it is using up Waymarking bandwidth, and takes some of our time also (depending on photo size & hookup). I'm not a programmer, but you've got good working code over on the GC.com side.... Link to comment
Jeremy
The (very) soon-to-be released upgrade of Waymarking.com will provide the archival of images. Link to comment
+cache_test_dummies
The (very) soon-to-be released upgrade of Waymarking.com will provide the archival of images. The current version already allows the archival of images. Did you mean to say that the soon-to-be-released upgrade will provide a means to edit captions on images? Link to comment
Jeremy
The upgrade will not include image edits. However this will be part of the additional patches after the update. Link to comment
