Utm Distance Calculations

Your GPSr will calculate this. Change the coord system to UTM. Enter both Coords as waypoints. Go to the route create page and enter both waypoints. Highlight the second waypoint and it will give you the bearing and distance from first to second waypoints.

This can be done quickly and the advantage is that you do not need a computer, PDA, calculator and the waypoints can be anywhere.

With UTM, if they're in the same Easting and Northing, you can use the Pythagorean Theorum (sp?)

I should really look at my posts after I post them.
