+Tsegi Mike and Desert Viking
Ive seen animal memorials dedicated to one special animal. The stories behind them are quite interesting. For example, one plaque at a county courthouse is dedicated to a local dog who hung out at the courthouse for years and was beloved by the public. Another one Ive seen is dedicated to a particular zoo animal whose death in childbirth was a great loss to the community. These memorials should be about an individual animal, not a species or breed. I would like this to be a category or sub category please. Edited to add: Listed as Things> Animals> subcategory Animal memorials Any public memorial that is not in a pet cemetery, and is devoted to one individual animal. +treasure_hunter
I've seen the one you are talking about in Daytona, the dog. Thats the only one I've seen though, I think it would be a little hard to do. Link to comment
+Tsegi Mike and Desert Viking
Actually the one Im talking about is in Arizona. There are many memorials to individual animals. There is also one in a park that is devoted to a police dog that died. Any public memorial that is not a pet cemetery, and is devoted to one individual animal is what I am refering to.
