+JT & PJ Cole Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I would like to propose that Lighthouses be added as a category. Lighthouses are purpose built structures, providing aid to navigation long before a GPS could guide you to your destination. Most are still active aids to Navigation today. Visiting a Lighthouse is an experience to remember. They are located in beautiful locations and offer a glimpse into our past. Many are historic places as well, some over a hundred years old. They can be found in coastal areas all around the world. There are over 1000 in the United States alone.
+Jeremy Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I believe lighthouses already exist as a locationless cache. I'll see if I can provide a link to the existing locationless cache list.

+catcher24 Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 OK, question time: If it already exists as a locationless cache (I have never done one of these), how would it be handled on Waymarking? I have read the FAQ and other info sections, but since I have never done a locationless cache, they hasn't helped me.
+GA Cacher Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 As I understand all owners of Locationless caches will ( some have already) be getting e-mail asking if they want tomove their cache to Waymarking. Locatonless will no longer exixt on GC.com. If they agree to move the cache over then, in your case a Lighthouse will then exist on Waymarking. I assume that if the owner's choice is not to move , they someone else could propose that type cache.
