I'd like to suggest a sub-category for National Historic Landmarks. The NPS has about 79,000 places on the national register of historic places. Not proposed all of those. But there are only 2,300 certified, bonafide National Historic Landmarks. Geocachers ...oops, Waycachers...can compile what would eventually be a directory of those 2,300 landmarks. If I'm remembering that right, then the owner of that LC has first dibs on owning the new Waymark Category. National Historic Landmarks, I can't recall.
