Rdut&Gabwp Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 How do you guys set your home cooridates in your GPS? Mine seems to be taking the last cache we found as the starting location and not the home cooridates. The last cache was in an area away from home. Gabwp Quote
Miragee Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 If you turn it on outside your home and let the GPSr find itself then search for "nearest," it will be searching from your Home. I also "marked" my Home as a waypoint on my GPSr. Quote
Rdut&Gabwp Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 Okay. I'll try that. I take it you can't get it to go back to see your house as the main waypoint after you have been traveling?? Quote
Miragee Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I have the Garmin eTrex Vista. When I am on the map page I can move the pointer. So I could move it back to my home, or any other place on the map. Then you can search for waypoints "Near Map Pointer." Quote
hukilaulau Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Try this: Name your home waypoint "AAAAA" and then choose search by "alphabetical" instead of "nearest" that way your home should be at the top of the list. Quote
