+filler & bcat
I met a cacher at a local event who was seeking a 2005 Texas Geocoin. I had one with me which was unactivated. To compensate, she offered me a "new-in-bag" 2005 USA geocoin with the Tracking Number and Activation Code. Unfortunately, she failed to mention that she activated the coin some months ago. Is there any way to reassign the coin to me with the TN and AC? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
The only way to change that is in the database, you would have to send an email to contact@Groundspeak.com and explain the situation, and they might also need an e-mail from the other cacher saying it's ok to change it to your account. Any information that is stored in the database and not edit-able on your end must be changed there by someone at Groundspeak. Quote Link to comment
+filler & bcat
Is it likely that the GC staff members would be willing to perform this function? If so, awesome. Quote Link to comment
+LaPaglia
Transfering the TB to you is very easy. unactivating it is not so easy. if you just want it transfered to you to show you as the owner PM me or email me with the details of the coin. If you need it unactivated that is another story. Edited July 24, 2005 by LaPaglia Quote Link to comment
+Kilted Cacher
With the new craze of geocoin collecting and the ability of tracking on gc.com, should ownership transfer of a TB be something that might become available on the website. Maybe an option for the TB owner to be able to transfer ownership to another as an option. I can see where someone might activate their coin and a few weeks later want to trade it for something else. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
PCFrog
Don't activate it!!! It would be worth more in trading to have a coin that was not activated. Just like a normal coin - uncirculated coins are worth more than circulated ones. I think transfer of ownership would be nice but a activated coin should never be inactivated unless its was being removed from the system completely. Quote Link to comment
